It will be collected separately prior to your arrival or at check-in. Guests are expected to maintain home and courtyard in good, operable, and generally clean condition. Your dog's excrement must be picked up or a $100 fine will be charged from your security deposit or damage insurance. House, garage and outdoor spaces, including the barbecue, are to be maintained by guest. Guest is responsible for any damages or breakage to the Unit by anyone and/or pets allowed to enter the Unit during the rental period. Dogs and Assistance animals are always allowed allowed. You must pick up your dog's excrement. Dangerous Animals You are hereby notified that we have dangerous, potentially fear-provoking, and non-threatening creatures on the property. This property is located in the coastal intertidal zone surrounded by native grass meadows and forested areas. It is possible, but not likely, to see reptiles (e.g. snakes, lizards), amphibians (e.g. frogs, salamanders), vermin (e.g. mice, voles), birds of prey and turkeys, raccoons, feral cats, and other large wild animals including mountain lions and bears. You may also encounter all kinds of bugs, including, but not limited to, ants, bees, potato bug, roaches, etc. on the property. Occasionally horse owners will ride on the trails. Sea Ranch uses sheep and goats to manage and maintain fire safe our meadow grasses. They may on occasion escape from their pens. They also travel by the local roads when moving to new sections of the meadows. We have monthly pest control services to deal with these creatures. If you come across any of them, please contact us via Airbnb's Direct Message (DM) system, immediately. We will work to take timely action to deal with anything that you may discover, both inside your space, or outside, on our property. Many of these creatures are free-roaming. We do not have control of anything that occurs on neighboring city, community, or HOA properties, and cannot be held liable for their maintenance of same. Guests have private access to the whole house, private courtyard, one garage space, and common places. Commons areas and recreation centers are shared with residents and other guests and require visitor passes to be carried and parking passes to be shown. The Sea Ranch is a Zenfully quiet community nestled within nature. The Sea Ranch is much more than a place of houses or cookie-cutter coastal development. The Sea Ranch is a vision, inspiring in its beauty; a concept, daring in its invention; a covenant with nature and the land. It is a work of art, a single idea, a discrete piece of beauty in which successful structures become part of nature’s tapestry. The Sea Ranch is a community drawn together by a shared vision and respect for its concept. The original designers evolved a concept of dynamic conservation or “living lightly on the land.” The strict covenant enforces stewardship of natural resources through an owners association of residents who felt an instinctive relationship with the environment. Sea Ranch Abalone Bay is surrounded by intertidal coast, meadows and woods. As such, Guest may encounter wildlife traditionally found in a natural environment including but not limited to raccoon, fox, bobcat, coyote, voles, mice, turkey, heron, frogs, salamanders, lizards, snakes, black bears, and mountain lion. Guest may also encounter various insects including ants, ticks, fleas, bees, potato bugs. As heat and drought increase you may find ants and other insects seeking cool shelter, water, and food inside the house. Owner employs year-round pest control services and provides insecticide for your use. Guests are advised to keep the home clear of crumbs and no food left out. Guests are also advised to feed dogs inside and keep doors/screens closed to avoid raccoons from entering. The best way to arrive is to drive- no more than two cars. Our home provides on-site and garage parking. Estimated distances Sea Ranch from: 2h → San Francisco- 3h → SFO airport 8h → Los Angeles 1h 40 → Santa Rosa 1h 30 → Healdsburg 1h 30 → Mendocino Bus: Route 95 Northbound | Mendocino Transit Authority connects the South Coast of Mendocino County & Northern Coast of Sonoma County with Santa Rosa, 7 days per week. The bus serves coastal communities from Point Arena south to Gualala, Sea Ranch, Jenner, Bodega, Freestone, and more. However, there is no direct source of transportation to our home. There are private landing strips at The Sea Ranch and at Gualala. Transportation from the airstrip must be pre-arranged by guest. There is no Uber/Lyft or Taxi service. There is NO central AC. Ventilation fans are provided and work in concert with sea breezes when the breezes are not sufficient to cool the house. Our house digital guidebook provides tips on how to set up drafting system using ventilation fans and open windows.
