With plenty of space for the entire family, our home will become yours and the perfect starting point for your adventure in Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, or beyond! Fast wifi and a desk with dual monitors makes working easy. Enjoy your own kitchen, bathroom, and living room in our home away from home. The fully-equipped kitchen makes it easy to cook if you don't want to head a few blocks away to the many nearby restaurants in Old Colorado City. The bathrooms have a tub upstairs, and walk-in shower, washer, and dryer downstairs to help you clean up after a day on the trails. And when you're ready to relax, sit back in the comfortable couches in front of a smart TV with Netflix to entertain the entire family. The Ski Room has a queen bed and plenty of space for all of your clothing and gear. A second queen bed in the Snowshoe Room features the same. The Climbing Room has a queen bed, and the Bear Room has a single trundle bed to give the kids their own space. The queen mattress in the pull-out couch will even allow that friend who tags along to all of your family trips to sleep comfortably. All linens, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, paper towels, and toilet paper are provided. Street parking is simple and free - just don't block the neighbors' driveways and walk on up the front stairs. We are usually around the area if you need anything. Need a buddy to show you the closest trailheads? If we're not at work, we're happy to play tour guide or photographer to help set up and capture some of your special moments. Our house is: 2.5 miles from Garden of the Gods, 3 miles from the Olympic & Paralympic Museum, 3.5 miles from downtown Colorado Springs, 4.5 miles from the base of The Incline & the Barr Trail trailhead, and 5 miles from The Broadmoor. Walk two blocks to Thorndale Park for live blues music on summer Thursdays and plenty of open space for a relaxing afternoon. Red Rock Canyon Open Space and the Garden of the Gods are just minutes away and offer plenty of trails to choose from to hike, bike, or run. Want to challenge yourself with over 2000 feet of vertical ascent? The Manitou Incline features over 2,700 steps as you head straight up to beautiful views of Colorado Springs and miles beyond. From there, it's either three miles downhill back to the trailhead or you can take Barr Trail another ten miles up to Pikes Peak. And afterwards, there are several coffee shops, bars, and breweries in Old Colorado City and the surrounding neighborhoods for you to choose from as you sip on your caffeinated, carbonated, or fermented beverage of choice. It's easy to get around the neighborhood via foot or vehicle. There is plenty of street parking available in an area well-lit by street lights. The lawn maintenance team comes by on Fridays to mow and maintain the front and back yards. If this will create issues for you, you must let me know ahead of time.
