You are short drive to amazing nature in Joshua Tree, great restaurants and funky shops in Yucca Valley and lots more! • Von's and Stater Bros, your closest grocery stores are 8-10 minutes away • Black Rock Campground is a hiker's dream. You are about 5 minutes away. • Joshua Tree national park West entrance: 15 minutes away. • Noah Purifoy Exhibit - An outdoor art exhibit is located 20 minutes away and is a must see for all art lovers. His installations have been in galleries across the country and this exhibit is a true testament for his amazing work. • The Integratron - This is an unforgettable sound experience for those seeking deep relaxation and rejuvenation. Sound baths are by appointment only by online booking or phone. Integratron is located about 25 minutes away and worth every minute. • Landers Brew Co - If you are looking for a great dive bar and a good beer, surrounded by beautiful desert scenery, LBC is the spot. With a friendly bar staff and great selection of drafts and bottles, you can't go wrong. Definitely a must for beer lovers. The 25 minute drive is well worth it to enjoy a beer on the patio or listen to some local live music. MUSIC FESTIVALS: This house is a great place to stay if you're coming to Joshua Tree for the Guitarfish Music Festival, Joshua Tree Music Festival, Coachella, Stagecoach, and many more due to it's central location The restaurants in Joshua Tree are amazing. • Crossroads Cafe: Great little cafe right in town with good options for breakfast, lunch or dinner (our favorite for breakfast for sure!). There is something for everyone on their menu, even quite a few vegan/vegetarian options. Highly recommend! • Three Sisters Cafe: Great for a healthy breakfast or lunch. They tend to have less of a wait than Crossroads and the food will not disappoint. • Pie For The People: Great dinner option if you want to dine in or pick up. They make some really good pies and also great salads so the wait can be a little long around dinner time. They sell by the slice as well for a quick bite but allow a little extra time if you are ordering a whole pie during the rush. • The Joshua Tree Saloon: Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is a fun place to come with family or friends and super convenient as they are open at (almost) all hours. This is basically your only option for night life in Joshua Tree but it won’t disappoint if you’re looking to get a few drinks or a bite with friends. A little farther out: • Pappy and Harriet’s: Classic restaurant in beautiful Pioneertown. We highly recommend you check it out before sunset so you have the time to explore the old mid-western town adjacent to the restaurant. You will want to call ahead to make a reservation as they often have wait times up to an hour (or more!) without one. Definitely worth checking out! • La Copine: A great little French restaurant out in Flamingo Heights that is open for lunch and dinner only. This place has the freshest food in the area and has recently extended their hours to open for lunch at 2pm. We highly recommend getting here right when they open as it is a small restaurant and can fill up quickly. It’s a little farther away but the drive is beautiful ADDED SERVICES Upon booking, please let us know if you are interested in any of the below activities. We will help make introductions: - Guided meditation / hypnotherapy - Enjoy a relaxing guided meditation or a healing hypnotherapy session - Star Tour - Experience a guided tour of the stars No clouds, no light pollution, no crowds. Just you, the quiet desert, and the stars. - Private yoga instructor, in-home chef, hiking guide, and much more Heated Pool / Spa - You have two choices but not both. Either 1) Heated pool (for an additional fee) or 2) Heated spa (for no fee) - $200 a night to heat the pool. Pool will be heated to 84F. Request to heat pool must be made at least 3 days in advance of booking - When the pool is heated, the spa will at the same temperature as pool but not be allowed to heat to 104F - The reason both cannot happen is because if pool is heated to 84F, but then the heater is diverted to spa to heat it at 104F, then that will automatically cause the pool temperature to drop. *** PLEASE READ THE HOUSE RULES PRIOR TO BOOKING *** *** RENTAL AGREEMENT/SECURITY DEPOSIT *** Please note that all guests will receive an email required to sign our rental agreement that lists the house rules. We need you to sign it and share your credit card info through our secure reservation system for a $500 deposit. It's important that you review and sign this agreement within 48 hours of receipt to maintain your booking. If this step is overlooked, your reservation may be subject to automatic cancellation as per our house rules. We would not want that to happen, so we emphasize this to ensure all goes smoothly with your reservation. The reason for the agreement is simple - it is in place to provide transparency and protection for both our valued guests and us, the hosts. The security deposit is simply a temporary hold on your card, not an actual charge, although it will count towards your credit limit. This means your money stays in your account. We put this hold on your card one week before you arrive. If there's no damage when you leave, we'll remove the hold one week after you go.
