The perfect mountain escape directly on the lake. The stunning lakefront view makes it the prime location for families looking for a getaway or for a few friends in need of a relaxing waterfront escape. Spacious deck with lake view. Ping pong, pool table, & mini air-hockey table. The neighborhood is quiet and all guests are required to be equally respectful. NO parties, rowdy behavior or loud groups. Outdoor fires prohibited. Garage may unavailable due to snow plowing. Pet friendly (+$50). The space Outdoors: - The dock is a great for fishing. NO launching of your own personal watercraft/floats on the lake - The house is on the lagoon end of the lake - it’s shallow by the dock but gets deeper farther out. Life jackets are required at all times while “swimming” regardless of age - Small charcoal grill for grilling - Outdoor dining set and wood furniture on the deck for outdoor seating (some furniture removed for the winter season) - Enjoy the local wildlife right at the house: deer, bears, hawks, bald eagles, fish, snapping turtles, snakes, fox, chipmunks, squirrels, Canadian geese, Mallard ducks, loons, toads Kitchen: - Granite countertops, island, and undermount sink - French door fridge with ice maker - Gas range, dishwasher, and microwave - Keurig Duo machine is for both k-cups and drip coffee carafes (coffee filters provided) - Ninja blender - toaster - Corner lazy susan cabinet has some basic spices/pantry items (I do not keep inventory and is stocked by guests paying-it-forward to other guests) - Beautiful lake view Bedrooms: - Master Bedroom: King log bedframe, queen log bedframe, 2 closets, large dresser, 55" SmartTV, and a lakefront view (2nd Floor) - Second Bedroom: 2 sets of twin log bunkbeds with (4 twin beds total), large walk-in closet, and window nook with a bench seat (2nd Floor) - Third Bedroom: queen log bedframe, large walk-in closet, window nook with a bench seat (1st Floor) Living Room: - Propane fireplace - 55” Samsung Smart TV. Pool and Beach Hours are 11 am - 6 pm (availability is subject to change without notice for health/safety reasons). The playground, volleyball court, pickle ball courts, tennis courts, basketball court, and ball field are open. You must wear wristbands to use all amenities. LAKE Due to community regulations, renters may not launch your own boat, kayak, paddle board, raft, float or other watercraft in the lake. You may swim in the lake off the dock, but lifejackets are required at all times for all ages. The lake is very shallow by the dock, but gets to 8' further away. The lake is regulated by the state so PA fishing permits are required over the age of 16. The lake is stocked seasonally and is catch-and-release unless you have a trout permit during trout season (3 catch a day limit) We recently added paddle boards for guests to use. They are located down by the dock. Please ensure that everyone always have a life jacket with them. If there is anyone under the age of 12, they are required to wear a life jacket. When finished using the paddle boards, please place them on the rocks next to the dock. FIRE PITS/OUTDOOR FIRES/FIREWORKS Fire pits and any outdoor fires are absolutely strictly prohibited in Towamensing Trails for rental use. Fireworks of any kind, no matter how small, are absolutely prohibited by the association. These rules are seriously enforced by community security and the neighbors. PETS Pets are welcome, but there is an additional $50 pet fee. Please let me know before check-in so I can send you a payment request and you can enjoy the company of your pets during your stay. Also, while the house is fully cleaned between guests, I cannot guarantee an allergen-free house for guests with sensitive pet allergies. Must be fully house trained, dog waste picked up outside, on leash while in the yard or community property, and cannot excessively bark per community rules. Dogs are not permitted at the community pool, beach, or in the community lake at public lake access points. Dogs are welcome to swim in the lake in front of my house only. ITEMS PROVIDED AT THE HOUSE - Kitchen: dishes, pots, pans, baking sheets, cutting boards, utensils, measuring cups/spoons, glasses, mugs, Keurig Duo for carafes and k-cups, toaster, blender, trash can, sponge, glass cleaner, surface cleaner, broom/dustpan, stick vacuum - Bedrooms: comforter, pillows, extra blankets in the closets, clothing hangers - Bathroom: 2 rolls toilet paper, hand soap - Laundry: washer/dryer ITEMS TO BRING (not at house) - Kitchen: pantry/food items - Personal toiletries - Outdoor: charcoal/lighter fluid/lighter for grill - Other: baby/children's cribs, plack-and-play, high chair, etc. TVs There are 2 - 50" Smart Roku Tvs, one in the living room and another in one of the queen bedrooms. They are not connected to cable. You can login to your own subscription accounts, such as Netflix or Hulu. You can also view free tv shows, movies, and music through the apps. PASSES/WRISTBANDS IMPORTANT! Guests over the age of 5 must wear wristbands. Per the community bylaws, only a max of 8 wristbands is provided per residence to use the amenities. Once the wristbands are placed, they are not transferable to other members of the party. The community requires vehicles to have a car/trash pass and wristbands for amenity access (children 2 and under do not need one). Before check-in you will be required to give your vehicle information and mailing address in order to receive your car pass(es) and wristbands that will be available to you at the house once you arrive. You will not be able to check-in until after your passes are issued - ALL vehicles require a car pass to park at the house. You may not add additional vehicles last minute, however it may be possible to update the plate number if you need to switch vehicles. Car passes must be hung on rear view mirrors immediately upon arrival. Failure to properly display car passes and wristbands will result in community fines - guests are 100% responsible for all fines (plus costs resulting in the fines). TRASH Guests are required to dispose of all trash at the community dumpster (8 mins away) using their trash pass. Trash is open Mon/Wed/Fri 7-3pm, Tues/Thurs 10-6pm, and Sat/Sun 7-7pm. No trash or trash bags of any kind is permitted to be stored outside the house at any time, if reported there is a $300+ fine in accordance with community rules. Guests are responsible for disposing of all trash before checkout. Please read the trash schedule and coordinate accordingly depending on when you are checking-out as any trash left behind (either bagged or loose) will result in additional fees. Guests are also responsible for cleaning all dishes. Any dirty dishes in the sink, counters, or anywhere else will result in additional fines. SNOW During winter there is a plow service that will plow the driveway and shovel a path to the front door after the completion of storms over 6" - you must move your vehicle(s) to the street first. The driveway is gravel and the plow truck will not plow any snow under 6." There is a shovel and salt stored at the house for your convenience. The plow truck does not not plow around the curve in the driveway so the garage may not be used to park a vehicle. Please take this into consideration when booking during the snowy months. OTHER Must be over 25 yrs old to book and the booking guest must actively stay at the house for the duration of the reservation. Guests are not permitted to smoke any substances (cigarettes, vape, e-cigarettes, hookah, incense, etc) inside the house or within 10 feet of the house outdoors. Guests are required to read and follow the Towamensing Trail's Rules of Conduct. Loud parties, rowdiness, or disorderly behavior is strictly prohibited and subject to fines and/or reservation cancellation. The charging of Tesla vehicles is not permitted anywhere on the property.
