Welcome to our oceanfront guesthouse. Enjoy the waterfront view as our guests on this beautiful private family compound. A modernized quintessential 18th century get-away. The entire cottage is yours, with 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, full kitchen, patio with picnic table, living room and sunroom all offering stunning views of the water and evening sunsets. Just a short walk to a sand bar (great for walking and kids) and near multiple beaches. A very quiet and safe neighborhood . The space Our newly updated guesthouse/cottage is entirely your designated space to enjoy. With views of the ocean from every room it's the perfect spot to relax. The professionally maintained property shares a large spacious yard with the main house and carriage house with abundant ocean views. Guests can use the face to face glider and Adirondack chairs overlooking the ocean that are located on the crushed stone next to the patio. Architectural features from when it was originally built add charm and character. Both bedrooms and the half bathroom are located on the second floor with the newly remodeled full bathroom and queen sleeper sofa on the main floor. Please note the stairway is steep and curved. Our taller guests, you may need to watch your head using the stairs and entering the cottage due to low overhead clearance typical to the period to which it was built. The bedrooms and primary living space all have plenty of headroom and we hope you can embrace the charm of this lovely home. We provide 1 bath towel and face cloth per guest for the duration of your stay. We recommend bringing your own beach gear/towels if you desire. There is free parking on the property as well as enough room for your boat and trailer if needed. The Long Island Sound Access Beach is located just a few minutes walk from the cottage which has great sand bars at low tide. The public boat launch and fishing jetty is literally around the corner.
