We have a public boat dock, free of charge, at the end of the road and beautiful walking paths with a great fishing pier, walking distance from the house. This house has been in our family for decades so come enjoy the charm and follow the history of this area and our little gem. We are constantly upgrading and making the home better so it will never be the same each visit. There are TVs in the main rooms and entertainment areas. There are also books for the children and games in the hall closet, including puzzles and other board games. NEW PATIO- SPRING 2024! Out door covered patio with swing and 2 NEW ceiling fans- Flowers being updated, new patio set coming summer 2024, new greenhouse coming fall 2024. Side yard- coming all 2024- new walking path. We are adding a brick path to the fire pit. Weather permitting, we are hoping to get it done this year (2024). Wait lists make it difficult. Please excuse the in between. The master bedroom has been renovated with new flooring, bed, mattress, bedding and a fresh coat of paint. (Feb 24) The back bedroom has also been completely redone with fresh flooring, paint and bedding. (Feb 24) We have a full Nest system in the house that includes smoke & carbon monoxide detectors. There is also Nest door bell camera at the front door. The camera is disabled at check-in for your stay. We have a new washer and dryer available- if you’re short on time- we do have a house manager that offers concierge services- she will pick up your Instacart orders and have them in the house waiting for you. I have a house manager that lives a few minutes down the street. She is always available. Someone is available at all times for any situation that could come up. Living so close to the water situations do happen. Please be aware bugs and wildlife are in the area. The lawn crew will come whenever the weather is suitable so please keep all things out of the yard if possible. Please always feel free to ask me anything and everything. I’d be happy to help. It’s a dead end road that takes you right to the pier and nice walking trails. Deer, raccoons and all sorts of wild life including bald eagles, fly around daily and come into the yard. It’s a very beautiful mix of nature right inside city limits. There is a 2 cat colony in the area that we feed. They are named Fred & Wilma. They do not come near you, they just want to eat. There is a small family of raccoons that also come to eat from time to time- completely harmless- there is also a family of Deer that will Come to the front yard and will also eat grass and corn in the front yard. Their is a red fox in the neighborhood as well- he’s about 15 years old and will come roaming thru the yard as well- less likely with the family of raccoons near by. It really is a piece of Snow White. Very quite so loud noises the neighbors will check it out. Great people- There is plenty of parking in the driveway. We also have access to Lyft and Uber. We are steadily updating each area of the house. If you see something or have a recommendation please feel free to message us so we can address it. Somethings do get overlooked, so kindly let us know and we will quickly resolve it. So some areas like the back yard may have equipment or small construction materials- should all be complete by spring 2025- the new patio was just poured. We are preparing for demolition of a small shed and tree stumps for a pool spring 2024. Our goal is to provide a warm and comfortable environment for all. However- If you misrepresent your guests or yourself there will be a fee accessed for example- If you host an event on property without authorization- minimum extra $300 Pet fees are based on size of your pet and we do not breed restrict ( we only allow one pet- all others must be approved) we just account for cleanliness. Pets over 40lbs will have an additional cleaning fee. Pets of long hair or excessive hair loss will have an extra cleaning fee of $75.00. All pets and owners will be asked to confirm that they are up to date on all shots and immunizations. Asked if Flea and tick meds are administered regularly. If you have an unauthorized pet minimum extra $75 fee on top of the original pet fees and cleaning fees. Any unauthorized people staying in the home outside of authorized people will be an extra $45 for your safety and mine. We can communicate and adjust any reservation. We do not want anyone to be sneaky or misleading that stays in our home. This is to protect our family. Thank you.
