Beautiful, spacious house on a lake! In CT's tranquil and majestic "Quiet Corner" this private 2-acre home is located on Lake Chamberlain a beautiful dirt road. The lake is wonderful for swimming, kayaking, and getting lost in meditative nature. Come and ice skate and sled in winter and swim, fish and kayak in the summer! Once you're here, you won't want to leave! The space Our property is in what's known as The Last Green Valley! We are a National Heritage Corridor. We are the last swath of dark night sky between Boston and Washington DC. Sturbridge Village 12 mi, Brimfield 25 min, A couple of miles to The Woodstock Fair! Boston is an hour, while New York City is 2 hours 30 min! Stunning post and beam kitchen, lakeside lounge chairs and picnic table , kayaks, and big yard surrounded by an old growth forest that rolls gently down to the lake. House is stocked with board games. You will have access to 4 kayaks, 1 canoe, 1 paddle boat and a grill. Other things to note House rules 󰀥 Check-in: After 3:00 PM 󰀥 Checkout: 11:00 AM 󰄄 Self check-in with key holder on door 󱤈 No smoking Additional Rules: We require that you abide by the following rules: No fireworks No children left unattended by the water at all. No Diving in water AT ALL. Quiet hours 9 pm for neighbors. There is a Town ordinance for this. The neighbors have complained before. There is a zero-tolerance noise policy (loud voices And loud music) with neighbors as they live here year-round. Please be respectful. No loud music outside - anytime. We do not allow parties. 8 is the limit of people we allow. If you want more people to come, please talk to me about it, we are flexible if you talk to us. No fires in or out of the house - per insurance regulations. No tents on the property. We are not a campground. Do not sit on indoor furniture with wet lake clothes No Smoking Inside the house (pick up your cigarette butts if you smoke outside) You must smoke 20' from the house - off deck - so smoke does not permeate inside home. There will be a $200 dollar refresh fee for smoking in the house. Do not use woodstoves - they are not for guest use. The basement is off limits to guests. Our it is our personal storage there. We only allow 1 dog 50 lbs or smaller. Please clean up after your dog - in and outside the house. Leave NO trace that they were there at all please. Your dog is NEVER to be left alone at our home. Not even in a crate. They are in a strange place, they miss you and get scared -regardless if you have the most well-behaved trained dog. They bark like crazy. We have had the dog warden called by the neighbors because of this. They can not be left at the house alone under any circumstances. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times outside. Do NOT allow dogs on our furniture or beds, please. There is a $50 LATE CHECKOUT fee for every 1/2 hour you are late to check out. We typically have guests checking in @ 3 pm the same day you are checking out. We need to utilize that time in between for our cleaning crew. Unless you talk with me about another checkout or in time, this rule applies CHECKOUT TRASH: Please place your trash in the garbage bins on side of house - and recycling (glass and plastic - not cardboard) goes in recycling bin. (There is a $25 dollar per bag haul away fee if trash is not picked up and put in bins) Leave the house clean, like you find it. (Cleaning supplies such as dish soap, windex etc..available) Clean your dishes before you leave (dishwasher and dish pods available) Please make sure all lights are off and AC Units are OFF and Heat is set to 58 degrees when you leave.
