Stormy Hill Retreat
STORMY HILL RETREAT on Gooding Lake
Bring your hiking boots and swim fins! We are surrounded by views of the Talkeetna and Chugach mountains, this quiet retreat is a studio apt., with a FULL kitchen and laundry, this retreat is perfect for refreshing yourself in Alaska. Gooding Lake has a sandy beach and float plane access. The canoe & kayakes are free to use. Centrally located north of the Trunk Rd between Palmer and Wasilla, and close to Hatcher Pass, Matanuska Glacier. Guests must walk up a full flight of steps. Happy Trails! Guests have access to the entire studio apartment, the yard in front of the retreat, the carport, the sandy beach and the fire pit when it’s not windy and a burn ban is not in effect. I have a Labordoodle named Jack. He’s gentle and loves dogs and people. Guests have access to the Gooding Lake with a canoe, kayaks, paddle board, and paddle boat. Near the retreat is a grill, carport, grassy front of the studio, as well as the fire pit when there isn’t a burn ban and the sandy beach. I will be home to greet guests and help when possible. The neighborhood is very small and mostly quiet. There are children who are not too close, but they can be rowdy on the lake. Guests can park in the carport on the side of the garage. This is a gated community, so you’ll need to call me when you arrive at the gate, so I can buzz you inside. Turn into the first driveway on the right. You’ll get a gate opener upon checking into the apartment for use while staying at Stormy Hill Retreat. Roku & WiFi are available.
