It's a little blue house, built in the 18th century, nestled against the hillside of the medieval village of Olargues, listed among "The Most Beautiful Villages of France". You arrive on foot. We hand you the key. Time slows down here, the cicadas, the stone, the terraces open to the hills, everything draws you back to calm and rest. The space Downstairs, the shared living space: a fully equipped open kitchen, two living rooms, one with a games room for kids and grown-ups alike, plus a double bedroom and a bathroom. Two terraces await you: the large one, facing west, for family meals under the parasol; the smaller one, covered and intimate, with a plancha and barbecue for quiet evenings. Upstairs, three bedrooms including two with double beds and a bunk room with bunk beds, plus a bathroom. Air conditioning in the upstairs corridors and living room creates a cool retreat to get through the hottest days in comfort. A spacious cellar is available to store bikes and bulky belongings, a trolley is on hand to help carry your luggage up from the car park. Books and board games are there for rainy days or lazy afternoons. For sports enthusiasts and nature lovers, Olargues sits at the heart of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park. Swimming spots are close by the Jaur river is just steps away, and the Héric and Colombières gorges are 15 minutes from the house. Road cycling on the famous Passa Païs greenway, enduro mountain biking on the Epic Enduro trails, climbing, canyoning, caving, there is something to delight everyone, young and old! In the village, everything is within easy reach: bakery, butcher, grocery shops, pharmacy, restaurants and a Sunday morning market. And just a few steps above the house, the ruins of the castrum and its exceptional panoramic views over the Jaur and Orb valleys await, a short walk for an unforgettable vista. Guest access Please note that access to the little blue house is only via small pedestrian streets. This is what makes it so peaceful and charming. From the town hall parking lot, you will have to walk 120 meters with an 18-meter drop. If you have a disability or suffer from heart or respiratory conditions, access to the house may not be suitable. Other things to note All cleaning products and toiletries are provided. You'll also find coffee, tea and dishwasher tablets to start your stay with ease. We take particular care to ensure these products are environmentally friendly. Bed and bath linen is included .
