Karaka at The Apple Pickers' Cottages

Karaka is a 2 bedroom cottage with decks and a verandah with wonderful views of the Waimea Inlet and mountains beyond. The outdoor bath, hammock, weber barbecue, brazier and outdoor furniture set in a beautiful natural landscape are perfect for a relaxing holiday. The sunroom/second bedroom is an extension of the living area. It converts to the second bedroom with 2 divans that can be made up as either a king size bed or 2 single beds. Children 12+ The space Karaka is a 2 bedroom self-contained cottage situated on the shore of the beautiful tidal Waimea Inlet. The renovated 1950s apple picker's cottage sleeps 4 people. It has an open-plan living space with large windows, wonderful views, and a fully-equipped kitchen. The master bedroom has a king size bed. The sunroom is also the second bedroom. The divans can be made up as either a king size bed or 2 single beds. The bathroom has a large tiled shower, and opens to a deck with an outdoor bath. The bath is beautiful in the morning with the sun streaming through the trees, amazing on a clear night looking at the stars. There are places to sit outside and catch the sunshine whatever time of day. A large covered verandah and a private garden lead to the estuary shore. The cottage is perfectly equipped for simple holiday pleasures with good books, board games, barbecue, hammock, and endless views to gaze at. The cottage has a woodburner and is very cosy in winter. There is good cellphone coverage and fast fibre internet . Guest access Guests are welcome to use the walking tracks through our 5 acres of regenerating coastal forest.
