Escape, Explore, Relax, and Reconnect. This charming 2-story cottage is tucked back in the woods of a neighborhood that runs along the banks of the spring-fed Wakulla River. Cheery porches sit high up in the trees of our “treehouse” and the cottage is just a short walk to the river. Spend your vacation on retreat or get out and explore the area; the cottage is a quick drive to parks, rivers, beaches, and to Tallahassee. The space This newly renovated cottage is a hidden gem, privately tucked back in this sweet older Wakulla River community. Vaulted ceilings rise high above the family and dining room in this open concept layout. The master bedroom is on the main floor with easy access the full bath, complete with a rainfall showerhead and deep square soaker tub. Enjoy family time together or sneak off for morning quiet time and coffee on one of three private decks. The downstairs bedroom has a king size bed. The second floor loft has a semi-private bedroom with a curtain that may be pulled to separate this room from the loft office area (where the full size sofa bed is located. This sofa bed is comfortable, and is perfect for a family with a child or two or one extra friend adult friend that doesn’t mind sharing the loft space!). Both the downstairs bedroom and the upstairs loft bedroom (as well as the living room area) have decks that provide space enough for everyone to escape for some relaxing downtime high up in the trees! The privacy offered on this .71 acre wooded lot and the comfortable amenities available in this lovely cottage makes for the PERFECT nature-based family getaway or retreat with friends, that will make you want to return year after year! (Note: this is a pet-free home. Please do not bring animals without prior notification. On occasion we will make an exception, but there is a Pet-Fee of $20/day and only one dog will be considered. Please do NOT bring any animals that have not received prior approval. There will be a fee of $100 assessed after check out if we learn that a pet has been brought in without authorization. We thank you in advance for respecting this rule😊). Guest access Guests have access to this .71 acre fenced property with private drive. The river is a short walk and the community dock, boat ramp and swim area are available for our renters to enjoy, though use of the boat ramp to launch your personal vessel may require the presence of an owner, to satisfy HOA requirements. Other things to note This home is perfect for 2-4 people to sleep comfortably, but the sofa bed or couches can accommodate two more people- usually best for children. Please do NOT bring extra people without either reserving their spots or receiving pre-approval from the owner. The max # of people/adults that this rental cottage can accommodate is 5, and there would be no extra room for children. Please allow us to help you find larger accommodations if you need to accommodate more than 5 adults total or 4 adults with a MAX of 2 children for a total of 6 people. Thank you!
