Guest access Full access to the entire house suitable for two couples with children or one larger family / group. A unique key code will be automatically provided prior to your visit for your easy access to the porch door, and a list of suggestions and tips for your trip are available at the cabin and by email if you choose. Yeehaw Lodge is a PET FREE cabin. We choose not to rent to parties with no prior reviews on AirBnb due to episodes of damage to our property in the past with unverified renters. Exceptions are sometimes made if the renter is a personal referral by friend, family, or prior renter, military, or other small group that can display a history of responsibility and maturity. Exceptions are made in a case by case basis. Cars are necessary to get around. It is the mountains, so we strongly recommend four wheel drive in the winter months ( for this area that is January and February and possibly the first part of March. Occasionally an unexpected snow can hit between Thanksgiving and Christmas, too.) If you rent a car, check with your rental company on their policy regarding use of chains. There will be chains at the cabin for your use should you need them. The main road to the cabin is winding and hilly, and our driveway is gravel and inclined. It is no problem for most of the year, but we can sometimes have winter storms come in quickly. Uber has just recently come to our area, but there are not a lot of drivers yet, and they come out of the Boone area so call ahead. Other things to note NO ANIMALS. Host family has severe allergies to dander, so we keep a hypoallergenic house for us and other families who need this for their health and well-being. NOTE: By law, we have to accommodate CERTIFIED SERVICE ANIMALS, but the renter MUST inform the host of the planned presence of an animal to allow us to arrange deep steam cleaning and dry cleaning of all linens after the stay, which is a several hundred dollar expense that comes out of our pockets. We have to do this to prevent life threatening asthma attacks, so thank you for your understanding. No smoking or vaping indoors, strict policy. Available Pack 'N Play, high chair, outlet covers, and cabinet locks for families with small children and infants. All linens provided including hot tub towels, luxury bath towels, and high-quality sheets, and upon checkout, linens will be washed and changed for you. We do ask that you start a load of towels prior to your exit to get a jump on the cleaning for our caretaker. Please make sure there is laundry detergent remaining for the cleaners to prepare the cabin for the next guests. See additional rules for more detail.
