Bush farm located in quiet valley

Description

Overlooking a tranquil valley, Carinya Farm is a welcoming country retreat surrounded by native bushland and open paddocks. Our charming log cabin-style farmhouse sleeps up to eight guests, with two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and spacious living areas. Explore the property on foot or by mountain bike, picnic beside the dams, meet the cattle and cheeky chickens, or relax at the outdoor BBQ area overlooking the water and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of farm life. The space The house and property are yours to enjoy during your stay. Located less than 10 minutes from Clarence Town, the farmhouse has three bedrooms, an office, laundry, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, two comfortable living areas, and indoor and outdoor dining spaces. Each bedroom enjoys its own peaceful bush or valley outlook, with comfortable beds dressed in soft cotton stonewashed linen. For those needing to stay connected, the office provides a dedicated workspace and unlimited Wi-Fi. The house has ducted air conditioning for warmer days, while the slow-combustion fireplace makes it especially cosy during the cooler months. Outside, there’s plenty of space to enjoy farm life. The large lawn is perfect for children to run and play, or for settling in with afternoon drinks as the sun goes down. The outdoor BBQ area overlooking the dam is another favourite spot to gather, cook and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. There is ample outdoor parking, and a secure lockable area can be arranged for guests travelling with bikes. We aim to tread lightly on the environment. The farmhouse uses rainwater for drinking and showers, dam water for flushing toilets, and solar energy during the day. One small change I particularly like is “tread lightly on the environment” rather than “limit our strain” — it feels much warmer and more positive for an accommodation listing. Guest access Guests are welcome to explore the rolling hills and enjoy the property during their stay, whether on foot or by mountain bike. We ask that you don’t enter the cattle paddocks or disturb the cattle. They’re naturally curious and may come over to investigate, so please admire them from a safe distance. If you’re visiting the area for trail riding, we’re happy to consider requests to bring horses. There is ample space in the house paddock, so please get in touch with us before your stay to discuss arrangements. Mountain bikes are also welcome, with plenty of space to explore around the property and a secure lockable area available for bike storage on request. Other things to note We have permanent neighbours nearby, so we ask that guests enjoy the peaceful surroundings and keep noise to a respectful level, particularly in the evenings. As Carinya Farm is a rural property, bushfire safety is very important. All local fire restrictions and bushfire rules must be followed, and no outdoor campfires are permitted during Spring or Summer. Our chickens are protected from foxes by an electric fence around the base of their enclosure. Please take care around the chook pen and make sure children are aware not to touch the fence.
