Boatshed Bay is directly over the road with its 2 launching ramps plus good parking for vehicles with boat trailers. The property has a second toilet added now. The space Rangiuru Bay with the best swimming beach is barely a stone's throw away, this bay is a great place for families and swimming, with jetties to dive off plus a shallow beach ideal for small children. There is a tennis court which can be used with appropriate footwear as long as no one has booked a game or is currently playing. There is "The Landing Cafe" at the Tarawera Landing to the right and down the hill at the beginning of Spencer Road. There is a water taxi to take people across to Hot Water Beach for a trip or for the day, and it collects people from the Landing or the boat ramp jetty over the road and in front of “Crawfords.” The water taxi to those fantastic Tarawera walks departs and returns to Boatshed Bay and includes Hot Water Beach, Humphries Bay, the Outlet or Lake Okataina, and also a ride back from Hot Water Beach for those who have walked the Tarawera Trail. All of this then you have a home that is geared for people! There are plenty of beds to sleep at least twelve, good car parking and comfort all round to make for a memorable stay!
