This fully furnished charming cabin was designed to be cozy with the rich woods of an Arts & Crafts designed interior. Located on a horse property, with Spring Creek running behind the cabin, and Buzzard Gulch trailhead at one end of the road with BLM at the other, this location is the perfect home base to enjoy all this area has to offer or snuggle in for a weekend. Bike ride/hike the local trails by day and watch the Milky Way while enjoying an artisan fire pit by night! Kitchen: Fully furnished - refrigerator, induction stovetop, convection/microwave oven, and drawer dishwasher, coffee maker, blender & toaster are available for your use. Two stools accompany a countertop eating space. Bedroom: Queen size bed, furnished linens, 2 sets of pillows Bathroom: Towels furnished, guest amenities, bath/hand-held shower head. Living space: Comfortable loveseat/ottoman and swivel leather chair. Use of desk space - WiFi. 48” TV with Amazon Firestick streaming, and a DVD player available. Outside: There are some stepping stones up to the house and one step up to the porch with walnut benches for seating & viewing sunrises/sunsets/night stars. A bike rack is available for your use along with an outfitted fire pit. All access to the cabin - feel free to hike the canyon walls and explore. This cabin is one of three family homes on 42 acres at the bottom of a canyon. Your privacy is respected. I’ll be on property at times or family will be available to assist you and answer questions. Located next to BLM land, all seasons outdoor activities abound out the front door: mountain biking, hiking, cross country skiing. Buzzard Gulch trailhead is 1/4 mile (hiking, biking, horseback riding). Reach Paradox Trail on top of the canyon to the west. Three ski resorts a little over an hour in three directions. (Telluride, Crested Butte, Powderhorn). Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is 25 min. (hiking, cross country skiing, drive to scenic pull offs). Orvis Hot Springs is 22 miles right outside Ridgway (clothing optional.) Ouray Hot Springs and the Box Canyon Falls are 40 miles located in Ouray. The Colorado National Monument (National Park in Grand Junction, CO) is 83 miles (hiking, biking, scenic pull-offs.) You’ll need transportation to get to town and back. It’s 9 miles to town for amenities. Once here, biking & hiking are a popular form of transportation!
