Superb barn conversion: rural charm and comfort

The Laiterie is the result of our love for restoring old buildings. We converted this long abandoned dairy into a wheelchair accessible, spacious, comfortable and luminous home for those who desire to discover the pleasures and beauty of the Pays d'Auge, our little corner of paradise in Normandy. Located in the orchard of a 15th century manor house, the Laiterie will charm you into a slower tempo of life, relaxing in front of the fire in winter or in a deck chair on the terrace in summer. The space Designed for wheelchair users, the house easily accommodates ten adults and three babies or very young children (in baby beds). The living space on the ground floor is open plan, with a large entry, a sitting area (3 sofas), a dining area (with a table extending from 6 to 12 seats), and a kitchen area (equipped with all appliances and accessories as well as room for storage). The space opens onto the terrace by way of a large bay window, with view on the garden and the fields. We advise you to look at the photos for a virtual visit! The Laiterie has been specifically designed to accommodate people with reduced mobility: the ground floor bedroom and its en-suite bathroom/wetroom are furnished accordingly (elevated beds with adjustable recline, handrails in the bathroom, walk-in shower and shower chair). The ground floor and the two terraces are also easily accessible without obstacles. On the ground floor there is also a laundry room with washing machine and dryer, as well as a toilet. On the first floor are the three other bedrooms, a separate toilet and two bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own wardrobe and is spacious enough to add a baby cot (supplied on request). Two bedrooms have double beds (160cm) and the family room can be prepared either with 4 single beds or with 2 single beds and an exta large bed (180cm). The family room has an en-suite shower room and toilet. The other two bedrooms share a larger separate bathroom. Guest access The Laiterie and its extensive gardens are for your full and exclusive use. The photos will show you the gardens, ideal for children as it is equipped with a trampoline, a slide for toddlers and a swing. In summer we also provide a sandbox whose lid can be used as a small pool for toddlers. The house has two terraces to enjoy the beautiful weather. The terrace on the south side takes the sun from morning until about 6-7 pm in the summer. Lounge chairs will help you relax and soak up the good weather. The west side terrace has sunshine until it disappears over the horizon. Here you will find a large dining table and barbecue. It is the perfect place to enjoy a fine drink and a good meal at the end of a long day. Other things to note Situated right next to Pont l'Eveque, the Laiterie is close to the historic centers of the Côte Fleurie (Honfleur, Deauville, Cabourg) and near Caen, Rouen, Bayeux or the D-Day landing beaches. The shops are located about 2 km (at Pont l'Eveque) and a large supermarket is about 1km. The rental includes the supply of bath towels (2 per person) and tea towels. Bed linen is provided and all beds are already made upon arrival. Beach towels are not supplied.
