NEW! Mountain Breeze House +250 Acres Farm And Forest
Welcome to our Lake Region Mountain Vista farm house. Our house is centrally located for a variety of outdoor activities. In addition to downhill skiing at nearby Gunstock Resort, enjoy hiking and biking in summer and snowshoeing and cross country skiing in winter on our 250 acre farm. Guests will experience field, forest and mountain views from every room, providing an excellent opportunity to capture breathtakingly beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The space Nature’s beauty is especially on display from Mountain Breeze’s centerpiece room, the Chandelier Sunroom, which provides a 270 degree view of Sweet Berry Meadows Farm and surrounding mountains. In a more private way, the 2nd floor master bedroom suite’s balcony provides the same experience from a higher perch. The balcony is an excellent place to enjoy an early morning cup of coffee while watching deer grazing in the fields below, or simply a place to enjoy a good book or glass of wine in the mid-day shade. The back patio provides a wonderful place for family and friends to gather for an afternoon grill or evening chat around the fire pit. Finally, for those visiting from urban environments, mention should be made of our star-filled night skies, perfect for star gazing. Included with your visit is an opportunity to explore our farm. It is a working farm currently producing hay for cattle and horses and, in the near future, wild blueberries. As guests, you are invited to visit by foot, non-motorized bike, or in the winter, via snowshoe or cross-country ski. To those interested in geology, our property includes a thousand-foot milky quartz ridge-line. The farm also includes the privately owned 4.5 acre Elena Lake. To wildlife lovers/photographers, we often view or note signs of deer, turkeys, bobcat, coyote, fox, porcupine, raccoon, otter and bear. A beaver family is currently living in Elena Lake along with various turtles. A large “green “ area, rich in wildlife, far enough removed from cities and tourist hot spots to permit one to capture the spirit of its people and find happiness in simple things. Other things to note I like to greet my guests when they arrive and appreciate meeting them to help with easy check in to be sure they are satisfied. The House is NOT a suitable choice for those searching for a party house. A working farm in a rural neighborhood, where people know and respect each other, represents a destination more targeted to young families as well as older couples and friends searching for a natural setting.
