It’s just a short walk into the village of Seahouses for local shops, pubs and cafes and the beach is within easy reach too…  about a mile away. Byre is a great base for exploring this beautiful area - visit the Farne Islands to observe the seabirds and the colony of Grey Seals. 3 miles north is the impressive Bamburgh Castle which  clings to a rocky outcrop, and it’s just 5 miles to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. Just south of Seahouses is Beadnell Bay with its unique west facing harbour for sailing, windsurfing and scuba diving.
