Cottage in Hartley Wintney/Wifi/Netflix/Parking

A 19th Century updated character cottage with many beams and a vaulted ceiling to the main bedroom. Also available (on request) is a third cosy separate twin bedroom accessed off the garden providing two single beds and WC. It is two minutes walk from the thriving village of Hartley Wintney and is the perfect getaway! Dogs welcome (£25 fee payable). The space The interior of this attractive cottage has modern facilities whilst retaining its historic rustic charm. It retains many period features including original beamed ceilings, old pine doors and some low doorways (mind you head!). A 3D video tour is available on request. Entering the hallway, the first room you will see is the lounge which has a homely feel with its beamed ceiling and brick fireplace containing an Aga wood burning stove. There is an internet connected flat screen 42" TV where you can watch complimentary Netflix or you can watch a DVD. It is a great room for cosy nights in. Off the hallway there is also a modern bathroom containing a walk-in shower. The wall cabinet has LED lighting, anti-mist glass and a shaver point. To the rear of the ground floor is the cottage style kitchen/ dining area where you can serve yourself an expresso or a latte from the Nespresso machine. The kitchen is fully equipped to enable you to prepare dinner should you wish to have a night in and the dining area lighting creates a nice atmosphere together with music from the Roberts DAB/ internet radio You will also find a Bosch dishwasher to help with the washing up, a microwave and washing machine. French doors lead out onto the patio. Upstairs, the main bedroom (accessed via a narrow staircase) has a lovely vaulted ceiling with beautiful ornate decorative lighting, a king sized bed and a wall mounted 32" TV to watch your favourite channels (including Netflix). It also has a en-suite bathroom which is entered via a low door threshold and two steps down from the bedroom. You should take care with the very low ceiling over the bath and WC. The house has lots of character! The second (smaller) bedroom overlooks the rear garden and has ornate lighting, a double bed and matching furniture. The Bay Tree Room is a quirky twin (singles) bedroom accessed through the garden and is a delightful cosy room with a low ceiling and has its own WC and wash hand basin (cold water only). The furnishings have been carefully chosen to create a country cottage feel. The secure rear garden is south facing so you can sit out and enjoy the cottage style garden in the afternoon sun. When you arrive you at the cottage you will be able to use the dedicated off-road parking ( space for two cars) on the driveway only a few metres away from the front door. There is a sensor light which will help you at night with access. Your safety is also my priority so there are smoke detectors throughout the house (including the bedrooms) and also carbon monoxide detectors. In addition there is a fire extinguisher in the kitchen. This is a charming cottage, refurbished to a high standard so it should be ideal for your next trip! Guest access The whole house plus the private off-road parking and garden is for your exclusive use. There is also free parking on the road outside. Other things to note The following items are also for your use at the cottage:- A steam iron. An ironing board. A vacuum cleaner A safe which will accommodate a small laptop computer. Even an oak wine rack cabinet in the dining area! Complimentary logs for the stove are available to use and then you can purchase further logs at £7 per bag.
