Private, family owned castle in the east of France, built in the 16th century. Come and spend your day swimming and kayaking into the river running through the beautiful garden. Perfect-size home with 8 rooms, 20 beds, it can sleep up to 25 people. 2 floors : first floor includes kitchen, dining room, living room, 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. Second floor includes 6 bedrooms and 2 bedrooms. 5 km away is Ornans, a typical village “à la française”, offering boutiques, restaurants and groceries. The space This property built 400 years ago has been in our family for 120 years. The garden has a direct and private access to the beautiful Loue river. Known for : - Trout fly fishing (no kill only) - private instructor can be arranged upon request - Canoe/kayaking - in front of the house or the full descent of the river with a private guide can also be arranged (half a day or full day) - Tennis court available 10 minutes driving distance from the house - Ornans, 5 minutes away, has plenty of restaurant and shopping options (supermarkets, butcher, cheese shop and bakeries...) - Catering service available upon request - Available on the property: tennis table, trampoline... Guest access The full house is available to the guest except a couple of closets. Other things to note The house is surrounded by beautiful century-old walls for your complete privacy. As with any very old house, some spots are not kids proof and parents should keep the little ones under surveillance.
