Description
Rent two luxurious oyster farmers houses refurbished in 2019. Oyster Bay can accommodate 14 adults in two separate homes. Independent houses individually sleep 6 and 8 people, they are connected by a door in the garden. Located in the commune of Carnac, Le Pô is a small oyster farming village by the Bay of Quiberon. Rebuilt with original building methods of the area, these stone homes will make your stay in Southern Bretagne unforgettable. The space You will be staying in oyster farmer's houses built in 1807 and refurbished with quality original building materials in 2019, with the utmost care and love. Situated on the Anse du Pô, just off the Bay of Quiberon, it is a step away from sea. The houses belongs to the Gouzer family, oyster farmers who have been working oysters in the region since the 19th century. The captain of the oyster boats of Huitres Gouzer used to live in one of the homes with his family and the head oyster farmer lived next door. They can be individually rented as well, please search for La Maison du Capitain (sleeps 6 adults) and La Maison de l'Ostréiculteur (sleeps 8 adults). These luxurious three story home can comfortably fit 14 adults, plus a child in a fold-out crib (available on request). Serene living room with a wood burning stove or chimney (depending on the house). Full kitchen with all amenities in each home (oven, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso machine etc.). Interior garden with outdoor furniture. The gardens have a door that connects both homes. The houses stand on the side of a quiet road, with uninterrupted views. Please note that the entrance of the house gives directly onto a small rural road, used by local traffic, including tractors, so you have to pay attention, coming in and out of the house, especially with small children. Maison du Capitain: Description floor by floor: Ground floor: Living Room. Kitchen and dining area have two large doors that open up to interior terraced garden. Dining area with double height ceiling. Laundry Room (washer and drier) and a guest toilet. 1st floor: Kingsize Bedroom (Room 1 with en suite bathroom with shower and small room with desk or place to put crib, upon request). Across the metallic walkway (shown in photos) Room 2 with en suite bathroom with shower. 2nd floor: Kingsize bedroom (Room 3) with en suite bathroom with bathtub. Maison de l'Ostréiculteur: Ground floor: Living Room with direct access to interior terraced garden, kitchen and a guest toilet. 1st floor: Kingsize Bedroom (Room 1 with en suite bathroom with shower). Another Kingsize Bedroom (Room 2 with en suite bathroom with bathtub). 2nd floor: Kingsize bedroom (Room 3) and another room which has two twin beds that can be joined together to make a double bed, upon request (Room 4). Shared Bathroom with large shower, independent toilet, and a laundry room with washer and dryer. A welcome breakfast: coffee, tea, milk and bread offered upon day of arrival, but please note breakfast will not be served everyday. High-speed WIFI included. All basic amenities included (toiletries, towels, sheets, coffee and tea, hairdryer, iron, washing machine detergents). If you have any special needs, please don't hesitate to ask. PLEASE NOTE: Inside the house there is quite bad phone reception, only by the windows will most carriers get a little reception. TV upon request.
