"Birdsong" is a peaceful 900 square foot separate-entrance apartment decorated with fine furnishings, set on a quiet street in Virginia-Highland adjacent to a nature conservatory. Queen bed. We had to cancel one reservation 1.5 years ago to rent to family. We have opened back up to Airbnb! This property is professionally cleaned and managed. No cats. Click the ♡ icon to save for later. The space Guests of "Birdsong" enter through the main entrance to the house, to a parlour, and then through a separate entrance leading up one flight of stairs to the apartment. Two guests can sleep in the Queen size bed. The living room and kitchen are on the left of the suite. The kitchen includes all dishes and cookware plus brand-new cabinets and appliances. The living room has a TV, Comcast XFINITY WiFi, a computer desk, and a breakfast nook. On the right side of the suite is a large bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a writing desk, a walk-in closet, and lots of sunlight streaming through the over-sized windows. The bathroom is situated in the center of the suite and features a full tub with specialty shower heads and luxury bath towels. The apartment is larger than your average 1 bedroom apartment. Laudry and cleaning are available by request. We cannot enter your space unless you request it. For stays more than one week, clean linens are provided weekly. For month-to-month rentals, a cleaning service comes every 3 weeks and that is covered in your rent. We offer a laundry service. You will put your used linens in a laundry basket and put it in the foyer. Then I will wash the clothes and return it to you. This is part of your stay since guests do not have access to the basement laundry room. One small dog under 9 pounds would be okay if you have a crate for the dog when you are not home. You must disclose you have a dog upon asking a question or booking to avoid the $100 pet fee. No cats allowed, too. Guest access This is a two-family home and one unit is the Airbnb. Guests have access to the entire upstairs apartment of the house and are also welcome to sit on the front porch or wander around in the 4-acre backyard, which is landscaped, peaceful, and full of "Birdsongs". Guests also have access to the parking pad for 2 cars. Guests will not have access to the ground floor part of the house. Laundry is provided as a service and within reason, included in your stay. The washer/dryer is not accessible by guests. No cats allowed. Other things to note This is an entire second floor private unit in an quiet residential neighborhood. Only the owner lives on the property (no other tenants). A small dog does live in the separate downstairs unit with Dee Anne. This is of note because the entire property shares one central air conditioning system which is controlled from the parlor via the Nest Learning Thermostat. The dog does not bark so you don't have to worry about noise from the pup. After booking your stay, you will add guests in your travel group to the reservation. They will be able to join the Airbnb message thread. We only give out check-in instructions via Airbnb messages, so make sure your group is included on the reservation.
