The Coach House is a tastefully renovated 18th century flax mill. It is furnished to exceptionally high and elegant standard. Its spacious rooms and cosy living room offer the perfect location to unwind and relax with friends and family. The space The Coach House is a meticulously renovated 18th century stable block (2500sq. ft.)nestled in the spectacular valley of the River Nore, one mile away from the beautiful village of Inistioge. The property is registered with Failte Ireland and has been awarded 4 stars. It is in a private & secluded courtyard setting, but with close access to plenty of local facilities in nearby Thomastown (3m) and Kilkenny (14m). The property itself has been lovingly restored to the highest specifications with hand-crafted oak woodwork and natural stone throughout. Clean, light and spacious, it sleeps 8-11 people in two double bedrooms, a twin and a master bedroom with king-sized bed, an en suite bathroom and a balcony overlooking the valley. An extensively equipped kitchen, including a broad range of herbs and spices, opens out onto a breakfast patio which overlooks the private garden. There is a downstairs shower room, a utility room with a washer and drier, and a large conservatory that leads to the two vaulted downstairs bedrooms. Upstairs, the comfortably furnished sitting room has a wood burning stove and a selection of DVDs and Cds as well as satellite television and WIFI. All duvets, bed clothes and towels are inclusive, as are firewood and oil. The local village of Inistioge is a delightfullly picturesque setting on the bank of the Nore with a number of traditional pubs, cafés and restaurants. It is the perfect location for hikes and country walks, especially in the grounds of the dazzling Woodstock Estate gardens. Nearby Thomastown has an international reputation for its arts and crafts, boasting a variety of studios and workshops to visit, galleries and exhibitions, an artisan chocolatier, cafés and numerous pubs where one can unwind with a pint and some live music. There are no less than four golf courses within 5-10 mile radius including the famous Mount Juliet Hotel where one can indulge in a spot of horse riding or fly fishing. Guest access The Coach House is located up a 300m driveway in a court yard adjacent to two other buildings and a spacious garden. Thre property is very private and there is plenty of room to unwind and explore. Other things to note The Coach House has a beautiful living room with a wood stove so that guests can make themselves cosy on winter's evenings. For guests tavelling with kids I have a fire gaurd for safety. I also provide a high chair, cots and baby bath so that parents don't worry about bringing them.
