To overcome load-shedding, we have a gas stove along with battery back-up for lights, fans, fridge, tv/decoder, router and plugs. The space Our newly renovated, modern, spacious, comfortable, free-standing Hazyview lodge is located in the 4-star Kruger Park Lodge. Swagat at Kruger Park Lodge is a 6 sleeper chalet with 3 well-appointed, air-conditioned bedrooms with block-out curtains and each with its own, modern bathroom. Our bedrooms and living room also have ceiling fans and we have mosquito nets on all windows throughout the unit. With no units to either side of us (we are not a duplex unit like many of the others) we offer a fully-equipped, self-catering kitchen with dishwasher, living room, dining room, and a lovely large deck with outside seating and braai/grilling facilities. Our complementary daily cleaning service will do the dishes, clean the grill and make up the beds while you are away on your morning safari. In order to alleviate the issues around load-shedding, we have a gas stove for cooking and boiling water. We also have an inverter and battery back-up that will kick in to power the lights, fans, fridge, tv, decoder, router and most plugs. The oven, aircons, dishwasher and water heater will not be powered by the battery. Take in sun downers from our large, wooden deck and watch the local impala herd graze, listen to the hippos grunting from the hippo hide and watch the sun set over the Drakensberg range. The owner is a licensed safari guide and can provide detailed self-drive and guided drive information for the first-timer. In addition to staying in a lovely place, we make the safari planning part of your trip fun and exciting. We offer wifi in our unit and you can easily purchase affordable data vouchers based on your needs from Reception. We are 10 minutes from Kruger National Park's Phabeni Gate in the south-western part, well-known for its high game density. Guest access The resort offers three swimming pools, tennis courts, a Gary Player-designed golf course, mini-golf, children's play area and a hippo hide. Local, well-stocked supermarkets, shops, bakeries and restaurants in Hazyview are located minutes away from the chalet. Other things to note Our place is ideal for a family visiting Kruger. The resort provides 24-hour security and you can freely roam the vast resort through the walking and running paths. You will appreciate all the amenities on site such the three swimming pools, on-site restaurant, kids' play areas, tennis courts, gold course and mini-golf. We will also give you a list of the well-established local restaurants, supermarkets and nearby activities. IMPORTANT NOTES: No noise/loud music/unruly behaviour will be tolerated at any time of the day. Please respect the peace and quiet of fellow guests enjoying the tranquillity. Please note that any guests disregarding the above will be fined R2,000 and/or be asked to leave the property. Should you be requested to leave the property, no refund will be issued for any part of your stay. We are in a rural part of South Africa and there are times when the resort's wifi is down or slow. Often the problem is weather and/or infrastructure related and the resort management does its best to resolve the issue in a timely manner.
