Dar Ghax-Xemx is a newly converted 2 bedroomed farmhouse in the unique setting of the oldest part of Victoria Gozo. It has been tastefully decorated and finished to a very high standard. OUR AIM: " To keep all guests from all over the world feel like they are at their own home " The space Dar Ghax-Xemx dates back to the 17th century. It is situated in the unique setting of the oldest part of Victoria, and has been tastefully decorated and finished to a very high standard making this lovely little house a firm favourite in the area. The house extends over three floors. On the ground floor you will find the fully equipped kitchen, the living room, a toilet and washing machine. A charming little courtyard is also found on the ground floor where you can also relax and enjoy a nice dinner in a quiet environment. On the first floor are two bedrooms: the master bedroom with a large double bed and another bedroom with two single beds and a sofa bed on which to sleep one adult or else two children. The bathroom with a bath and toilet is also located on this floor. *Please note, a coin-metered Air Conditioning / Heating is installed in both bedrooms*. The second floor takes you to the roof terrace with garden furniture. From the roof terrace there is a lovely view over the town and the Hill of Gelmus - this is where the spectacular fireworks are set off during the feasts of St. George (3rd week of July) and Santa Maria (15th August). Make your holiday a one to remember in the oldest part of Victoria. Guest access Keys will be handed upon arrival at the farmhouse, since owners live on site. In case of late check-in, we offer self check-in too. Other things to note A coin-metered (€ 1 or € 2) Air Conditioning / Heating is installed in both bedrooms, the living room and kitchen. (€ 2 lasts for more than 8 hours on 1 unit, when switched on) Groceries, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, shops and others just 1 minute away by walk. Car Parking is nearby the farmhouse, since cars can't get through the narrow and peaceful alley. Should you wish private transport TO and FROM the FARMHOUSE to the FERRY and vice versa, please feel free to ask me about details and prices. KINDLY NOTE: NEW ECO TAX ! Persons travelling to Malta need to be aware of the newly imposed Malta government legislation regarding Eco -Tax contribution. As from the 20th June an Eco-Tax of Euro 0.50c per person per night will apply. This fee is capped at 10 nights. So each guest will pay a maximum of Euro 5 per stay. This tax has to be collected by all accommodation providers. Kindly note that all guests staying in our accommodation after the 20th June 2016, will be charged this extra fee, which is payable only in cash. Thanks for your co operation.
