The most famous traditional handicraft associated with Artà is the basketry of the dwarf palm, known as "llatra". In the old town you should definitely visit the cultural center Artà, because there is a lot of original crafts and marvel at. From Artá ​​you can also visit the partly quite lonely beaches in the northeast of the island like Cala Torta or Cala Mitjana. The stalactite caves "Coves de Artà" are a bit out of the way, right on the coast near the seaside resort of Canyamel. On Tuesdays they should get up early if they want to buy something from agricultural products, jewelry, household goods, food or clothing, because the weekly market of Art is popular and very well attended. The driveway leads us along Mediterranean trees and bushes directly to the two-storied stone quarries. Between palm trees and cypresses rises a farm-own water tower, from which one can observe the surrounding landscape. On the terrace you will find many comfortable seating up to terrace tables terrace tables where the whole family can comfortably accommodate and eat together. A centenary olive tree on the tower, typical Majorcan planters, statues and clay figures create a wonderful discovery paradise for little knights and princesses, and tell their very own story. Behind the house you can enjoy the large pool terrace with sun loungers and umbrellas. The flattening pool (4.5m x 8.5m) is fenced and therefore provides extra security for our smallest guests. A wide staircase provides easy access to the cool water. Another plus is the grill house with its own kitchen and huge dining table. Warm summer nights with delicious grilled specialties and a good glass of Mallorcan red wine in absolutely quiet privacy enjoy .... what more do you need! Upon entering the house, you immediately feel a very special living environment. The antique elements reflect the history of the Middle Ages and give a great contrast to modern bright sofa set. Between marble arches, natural stone walls, solid wooden beams, chandeliers and pendulum wall clock there is a very pleasant sound with a lot of comfort and class. The ground floor consists of a large lobby, a living room with a cozy Tv corner, fully equipped kitchen in country style, 1 cozy bedroom with typical landlord's bed, which catapults us back to the time of the French Revolution, air conditioning and ensuite shower room, and a guest toilet. A wide marble staircase decorated with iron railing, leads us into the upper sleeping chambers. Here you have the free choice between 2 other double bedrooms. One with romantic four poster bed and air conditioning and the other with 2 single beds. From all rooms you can enjoy a great view of the colorful flora surrounding the house. Upstairs, the bathroom will be shared. On request we are happy to provide cots and high chairs.
