Ardington House is a beautiful Georgian manor house in rural Oxfordshire. The house is on the outskirts of a pretty, well kept village on the edge of the North Wessex Downs, which is a protected area of outstanding natural beauty. Ardington is ideally situated 1h15 mins drive from London and is perfect for families or groups of friends looking to get away for a celebration, holiday or simply a weekend. The space This beautiful Georgian Stately Home has 12 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms it combines a feeling of grandeur in a homely, warm setting with its own lake and panoramic views its the perfect place for a get-together to relax and enjoy. Not only does the ground floor feature 7 fantastic communal rooms it also leads straight out onto the extensive 30 acres of gardens and parkland. Outside there is a large swimming pool and tennis court. Ardington House is located at the bottom of the quaint village of Ardington in South Oxfordshire. Idyllic "chocolate box" style village which has an excellent family owned pub located at the base of the driveway to the House and also a family owned cafe/shop just a stones throw from the village next door to a wooden built children's play park. There is access onto the public walkway via the grounds of the House if you fancy a rural walk exploring the area. We are roughly just 60 - 90 minutes drive from London and no more than 10 minutes drive from Didcot Parkway train station. Guest access Guests will enjoy the whole House, and the 30 acres of grounds and parkland that come with it. Two members of staff live in the House and may be using the staircases to access their own self contained flat at the top floor otherwise wont be "working" or "using" the House. There is a marquee positioned at the bottom of the gardens which will not be in use during your stay but is also not included within our private hire stays. We can discuss large events and weddings with you in our event Marquee as a separate agreement. Other things to note Please note we do not permit loud music in the House or on the gardens in the evening hours due to close-by neighbours we must be sensitive to noise. Maximum no. of guests must not exceed 25 at any time. You may contact us to discuss large events by separate agreement.
