The space Perfectly positioned and surrounded by fields and tall trees, Chez Broche is ideally placed to enjoy visits to Bordeaux, Cognac, the Medieval City of Confolens and the Dordogne region, but far enough away to escape the crowds and enjoy the tranquil escape that south western France can offer. The farmhouse is ideal for families and has all the facilities modern families enjoy, including indoor and outdoor games, woods to explore, large terraces for dining and a swimming pool overlooking the lake. A real retreat to escape to with all the home comforts. In The local village of Montemboeuf you can find a boulangerie where you can take morning trips for bread and pastries, freshly baked each morning. Visit incredible Chateau, celebrate local culture at festivals, eat crepes in the beautiful Chateau town of La Rochefoucauld, the local Limosine steak, seafood, or even snails. Families will love visiting the many local activities including sailing, horseriding, the lakeside Adventure Park at lac Haute de Charante or simply enjoy the sunshine relax and watch the children fishing in the lake. The interior has been tastefully decorated with wood flooring, exposed beams, and stylish furnishings. Chez Broche has five double bedrooms, two of which are en-suite, and can comfortably sleep up to ten adults plus two children. The Tower Suite overlooking the fields and lake includes a huge oak beamed bedroom, adjoining large bathroom with roll top bath and shower, and a spiral staircase to the Tower Room with children’s twin beds which affords beautiful views of the lake, pool and countryside. There are an additional two bathrooms serving three bedrooms. Downstairs you’ll find a newly fitted modern kitchen with dining area and log burning fire. A large dining room with seating for at least 10, and lounge with stone fireplace and further log burning fire. The Den is next to the Living Room with desk, Playstation, Foosball as well as books and games for children. In addition, there is a well-equipped utility room with washer, dryer and wash room facilities. TV/DVD with French channels and UK freeview available. Wifi connection is included the rental rate. The accommodation will suit large families or family groups travelling together. Guest access Guests have full access to the Farmhouse, Private Lake, Private swimming pool (seasonal) and approximately 5 acres of land (some fields have crops growing and another Enzo the bull & his cows! Other things to note To assist you in your arrival and to allow you to settle in we are happy to offer the following: Pizza nights. Pizzas made in our own pizza oven. Available for special occasions or just because you would like a night off. All ingredients are locally sourced and freshly prepared. Offered at a competitive rate. Enquire for details. The Farmhouse is thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival. If the property is left in clean and tidy condition following our check out information there will be no extra charge.
