Your very spacious accommodation is located in the ideal Renaissance city founded in 1521, Marienberg in the Erzgebirge. The completely regular city complex represents the first realized planned city of this kind north of the Alps and thus occupies an outstanding position in the history of early modern urban planning. The house is ideal for meeting friends or family. 400 m² can be used. A garden behind the house is available to you. The space It is one of the oldest houses in Marienberg. The stately baroque building is accessed by a wide central entrance. In addition to the 20 m long hallway with four cross vaults, there are other vaults on the ground floor. These can be used differently. Bicycles can be easily accommodated in the house. In the right part of the ground floor you will find a private collection of historic bicycles. Behind the house is a 300 m² garden. This is ideal for relaxing. Children can play there undisturbed. Two seating areas offer enough seating. Since we already lived in Marienberg at the beginning of the 90s, we bought the house in 2013 after almost 20 years of vacancy. We love these old walls and have tried to use the existing substance sustainably. With a lot of personal effort and commitment, our son in particular converted the main part of the house into a cozy home. We have succeeded in creating a multi-generational house. On the first floor you will find a very large parquet area in the entrance area. It is great for family celebrations. Behind it begins a spacious apartment with a living room and two bedrooms. There is a large bathroom and an additional toilet on this floor. In the beautiful kitchen, it is possible to cook with friends. This apartment is suitable for 6 people. Upstairs there is also a closed residential unit that can be used by you. From the large hallway you can reach the three bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room with an additional sofa bed and the cinema room. Through the living room you enter the 4th bedroom. If necessary, you can use the cinema room. There you will also find a DVD and Blu-Ray collection. Guest access Contactless possible Other things to note Parking is available in Marienberg in front of the house, you can stop to unload. Parking is free at the city gate, employment office or police station. You can also park your vehicle free of charge at the Marienkirche behind the house. Since the house is very deep, there is no window in the bathroom on the upper floor and also in the bedroom on the upper floor. However, you can ventilate through the existing back door. Nevertheless, you sleep very quietly, especially in this room, a bit like in a tent. The proximity to the church often makes "the bells ring". Soundproof windows are installed on the street side.
