Other things to note Cars are not allowed on this narrow street as our apartment is located in a historic area. However, the nearest point where a taxi or Uber can drop you off (in front of the Fado Museum) is just a 3-minute walk away. For parking, you can park next to the Fado Museum (free at night), which is a 3-minute walk from the apartment. Alternatively, you can use the parking at Campo das Cebolas, about a 10-minute walk away. In our opinion, a car won’t be necessary, as many points of interest are within walking distance. The apartment is equipped with a home alarm system and a safe box for your convenience. NOTE: Attention for June! Lisbon is known for its June street parties and Alfama is the heart of those festivities. Throughout old Lisbon, there are "arraiais" (old word for open-air party), where local restaurants set up shop on the streets and barbecue and grill sardines, etc. and people go drinking and dancing.
