We invite you to be our guests in our Caribbean home on the beautiful island of Curacao. Your master bedroom looks through the shady garden to the ocean. Bring your coffee out to the deck in the morning and watch the fishermen heading out to sea followed by the frigate birds. Glimpse a sea turtle swimming by or if you are lucky pods of whales or dolphins cruising up the coast. Since we face west you won't want to miss sunset out there followed by a night sky awash in stars. is perfect for romantics who want to experience the authentic Caribbean far away from the crowds of all inclusive beach resorts. We love Curacao and are very happy to help you plan excursions. The west end boasts hiking and mountain biking trails, secluded coves, great snorkeling and diving. There are Landhuises (local plantation houses) to visit built in the 1600's during the height of the slave trade. Curacao has a rich immigrant history, is extremely multi-cultural and is rich with museums, art and culture. We also know that some people prefer privacy. We try to be sensitive to that and stay out of your hair if that's what you prefer. We are high school teachers so we leave early in the morning for school and return late in the afternoon. You are welcome to make yourselves at home. We have a large covered deck in the garden that you'll use as a living room with comfortable chairs and a dining table. Lagun is a typically sleepy Caribbean village with a mix of locals and tourists. You'll be comfortable walking around and will find the locals very friendly especially if you greet them first. You will need to rent a car to stay at the rural west end of Curacao. Driving distances are not long but most things are too far to get to on foot. There is on site parking for you.
