Close access to Federal Way as well as speedy to downtown Tacoma and the South End. Plenty of Parking. Perfect for large families, multiple families, or just renting a room if in the area (please view our other listings). Also great for multiple couples traveling together or families with adult children given the layout of the home. This home is about 45 minutes from downtown Seattle or Bellevue. If you're looking to do a day trip or two to Seattle, plus explore other tourist attractions in the area, this home is perfectly situated. However, if you want to spend all your time in Seattle, then I would suggest you find a vacation home closer to Seattle proper. =) NEARBY ATTRACTIONS - Aquatic Center (for our competitive swimming guests) - 4 miles and 10 minute drive - University of Puget Sound (UPS) - 12.5 miles and 20 minute drive - Museum of Glass - 9.5 miles and 16 minute drive - SeaTac Airport - 17 miles and 30 min (up to 60+ if there's traffic) AMENITIES Includes high end bed linens and Ralph Lauren towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, Q-tips and cotton balls. MASTER BEDROOM Has a Tempurpedic Queen sized bed plus a deck over looking the water. There's an ensuite bathroom with his and her sinks, soaking tub, separate shower and toilet. UPSTAIRS BEDROOM SUITE The upstairs bedroom is separated from the master bedroom by a landing, giving both bedrooms plenty of privacy. This bedroom features a regular queen-sized mattress - perfect for those who don't like memory foam. There's also a seating area with an American Leather queen-pull out sofa, the most comfortable pull out available. This pull-out bed is made of memory foam and has no bars to dig into your back. Of course, there's a large desk for those who need to get work done. This room is GIANT and is a great room for those staying with little kids, as everyone can squish up into this room. There's a private full 4-piece bathroom adjacent to this room. DOWNSTAIRS BEDROOM The downstairs bedroom is right off of the front door and has a firmer top of the line, memory foam mattress. This bedroom is perfect with those with mobility issues since it's on the main floor and just up 3 steps from the driveway. There's a bathroom adjacent to the bedroom, however this bathroom is also the shared bathroom on the main floor. This bathroom features a walk in shower with seat. The house features a beautiful sunken living room as well as a family room, so there's plenty of space to spread out. There's a giant deck on the main floor for BBQs, laying in the sun, and watching the sunset. NO PARTIES. No big social functions or parties of over 8 people without written consent or automatically default security deposit. Sorry, just been burned more than once, and, NO SMOKING INSIDE (security deposit will be collected if either of those are breached. NO FILMING WITHOUT CONSENT. Our day rate is $500 if you plan on shooting, so please confer with us prior to any film or video shoots. NO DOGS, either. We love dogs but unfortunately cannot accommodate them. Sorry! Automatic default of security deposit if this is breached. Guests will have access to the main floor and upstairs floor. There is a basement that will be locked and two storage closets that will be unavailable. PLEASE NOTE: The basement may have friends or family staying in it. It is completely separate and locked from each side. Therefore, neither side can unilaterally try to enter the other. EXCLUSIONS FROM THE RENTAL: Rental excludes use of fireplaces. There are three gas fireplaces on the property (family room, living room and master bedroom). We ask that these fireplaces not be used as they are very finicky. They are difficult to turn on and in our experience, only turn on 1 out of every 500 tries! Rental excludes use of the garage. Please don't expect to park in the garage. We ask guests to stay out of the garage during their stay. For this listing, you are renting the ENTIRE HOME so I will not be staying with you. Again, please see the note above, there may be guests (non-Airbnb) staying in the completely separate basement MIL unit. If I'm in town, I'll try to greet you personally for check-in. I'll always be available by phone or email, as will my daughter who helps me manage the property. It's beautiful and quiet! Being here is like being in a resort - especially during the beautiful Seattle summers. Highly recommend getting a rental car if you're not from the area. Public transportation is slow and infrequent. Just a stone's throw to the famous Glass Museum and historic downtown Tacoma. Please note that we have an exterior camera for security. There are NO CAMERAS INSIDE OF THE HOME. Very sorry, but we cannot accommodate film/commercial productions, no big social functions or parties of more than 8 people, or dogs. Very sorry!
