The Bergnes rural gîte is located in the heart of a livestock farm in the Upper Aude Valley. The natural environment, Mediterranean type, welcomes cicadas during the hot periods of summer in the very large maritime pines that surround the house and the cottage The Aude River is 1.5 km from the cottage and offers many fishing routes You will also be kindly greeted by our dogs, cats, chickens, horses, donkey and of course, the herd of suckler cows The space The cottage is spacious, open to the outside because it has a large wooden terrace and access to the pool to share with farmers and their children It is perfect for families (with kids) and can easily accommodate up to 16 people The cottage is equipped with a charging station for electric cars at a rate of €1.5 to €3 per 100 km depending on the model or 30 cents per KWh It is possible to benefit from meals all prepared by a local cook: only on request and according to the cook's availability We allow parties but the music must be lowered significantly from 10 p.m. to respect the inhabitants of the farm, humans and animals. Guest access Guests have full occupancy of the cottage, terrace with a plancha, adjoining garden and surrounding natural areas (woods, meadows and scrubland) Other things to note You will live for a week or more on a livestock farm in organic production, to the rhythm of the different agricultural activities. Tractors, trailers, agricultural tools, are large machines that can be dangerous for children Similarly, some animals, such as bulls, can be irascible and it is advisable not to get too close to their park. You will therefore be asked, for safety reasons, to stay in the leisure areas around the cottage. Enjoy your vacation on the farm without taking unnecessary risks! There are still dozens of hectares of woods and scrubland at your disposal around the cottage to enjoy the nature of the Aude!!!
