Built by a renowned log cabin expert in 1982, the Paradise Cabin has been recently updated, is surrounded by the Chugach National Forest and directly next to the famous Moose Pass 'swimming hole'. This cabin is private, clean, cozy and perfect for a couple or small family looking to experience the many activities of the Kenai Peninsula. Perfectly located close to the beautiful seaside city of Seward, world-class king salmon fishing in Cooper Landing, and the charming town of Moose Pass. This cabin is private, clean, cozy and perfect for a couple or small family looking to experience the many activities of the Kenai Peninsula. The cabin was built in 1982 and as such, there are quirks that come with its age. This log cabin has everything you need, beautifully built, cozy Toyo stove that provides perfect warmth. The cabin itself is spacious, clean, nicely decorated and really well-kept. We say the cabin sleeps 4-that's 2 people upstairs in the loft (queen) and 2 people downstairs on the brand new pull-out couch (full). There is a queen bed in the loft and a double pull-out bed (in the couch) in the living room. The beds are top quality. A pack-and-play can be made available upon request. Out the front door, there's a new deck with picnic table and a lounge chair. The living room is open to the kitchen and has a dining table for two and dishes for four + people. The cabin has quality furnishings throughout with hand chosen furniture, bedding, appliances and décor. We perform a quality check on the cabin prior to your arrival, which will ensure you of a wonderful experience. The cabin does not have cable TV; you're in the wilderness - talk to each other! There is, however, a TV with a DVD player as well as Internet for the busy family planning their vacation on the go! Check out the newly built Lower Paradise Log Cabin that is behind the Upper Paradise Log Cabin if you are in need of extra beds, we'd be happy to accommodate you. These two cabins on our property are the perfect spot for multiple families on vacation needing extra space. The cabin is slightly tricky to find, and it doesn't help that mapping applications show it 4 miles south of its actual location. The cabin is located at mile 35.2 of the Seward Highway. Southbound (i.e., from Anchorage), the cabin will be on the right-hand side of the highway. Northbound (i.e., from Seward) the cabin will on the left-hand side. We are available at all times to offer help throughout your stay. If you are looking for a unique and rustic cabin to relax and recharge in a beautiful mountain setting, you've found it! Private, yet convenient to all the Kenai Peninsula has to offer. Come and experience the charm of a 'real' pioneer log cabin. This cabin is immediately adjacent to the Moose Pass swimming hole and often in the summer you will hear the joyful noises of kids jumping off the diving platform. This beautiful log cabin tucked away in a wooded setting will charm you the moment you pull in the driveway. The neighborhood is calm and quiet, however, please note that the cabin is fairly close to the Seward Highway and during high traffic times (mid-morning and mid-afternoon), you will hear traffic-related noise from the highway. We assure you that in the mornings and evenings, the noise quiets down. Behind the Upper Paradise Log Cabin is a newly constructed log cabin, the Lower Paradise Log Cabin. It is also available to rent on Air B&B and we encourage larger groups to consider renting both! As it is new construction, the landscaping is also new. The two cabins share a driveway but have separate parking spots. Check out the Guidebook provided on Air B&B for a detailed list of hiking trails, scenic look outs, wildlife viewing, and places to eat near the cabin. The only way to get around in Moose Pass is to have your own car. There is no public transportation or taxi cabs. There are transportation services to and from the larger communities of Cooper Landing and Seward. Please use the Toyo stove for colder nights. When you leave, please leave the Toyo stove at 65 degrees.
