Above the Valley - Cozy cottage with spectacular views of Denali and the Alaska Range. Enjoy the Southside of Denali National Park, midnight sunsets on the deck, and the aurora borealis from this unique mountaintop. Set on 20 acres of wooded grounds just 5 miles from historic Talkeetna townsite. The Cottage is compact and cozy while still providing three private bedrooms. ( Upstairs- one large master queen bedroom, also a dormered, attic style twin bedroom which is a favorite of kids. A small full bedroom downstairs ideal for the less stair loving guests and those who want to be near the downstairs bathroom) The mountain facing deck is off the living area and is where most guests spend their time soaking up the sun and views. Gas grill provided on the deck. A small galley kitchenette w/ apartment sizes fridge has all the appliances needed for basic cooking. Guests have access to the whole Cottage. Parking is in front in the shared parking area. The lawn and grounds are a common area. We keep our guest interaction balanced - we respect the privacy of travelers but strive to be readily available when needed. Our hilltop location is app 5 miles from the Talkeetna townsite hosting restaurants, pubs, gift shops, the state airport and boat launch. Close to local parks - Christiansen Lake Park and Talkeetna Lakes Park both share our access road. Best method of transportation is a rental car. Complimentary coffee and tea
