Alyeska Views is a newly built, 3 story, modern home located within minutes of the popular Alyeska Resort, a premier year-round destination for endless summer and winter adventures. This gorgeous home boasts phenomenal 360-degree views of the Glacier Valley and neighboring Alyeska Resort nestled within the Chugach Mountains. The open concept floorplan is ideal for guests to be able to gather on the main floor and still be able to enjoy some privacy by going upstairs to one of the 4 private bedrooms. The entry, kitchen, dining area, 1/2 bath and living room are located on the 2nd floor. The bedrooms are located on the 3rd. The open-air rooftop deck sets this property above the rest where you can soak in the majesty of nature from every direction. Though this is not a full on wedding venue spot, the Rooftop deck is truly the perfect spot for quiet quaint glacier valley elopement style Wedding. (Any extra guests are limited to 30 total people on property (12 overnight guests max +18 extra). Extra people are allowed at the house between the hours of 2 and 9pm. Extra guests will need to depart no later than 9pm. All Weddings must Book a 3 night minimum stay, as I’ve found it to be too much for folks to cleanup and depart by 10am checkout. Couples who book 2 nights for their event seem frazzled and stressed upon departure:) We do not allow loud partying at the house as this is a very quiet quaint neighborhood:) Plan your wedding 2 days before departure. Do Not have your wedding the day before you depart. You’ll find high end appliances and fixtures throughout the home as well as everything you’ll need to truly feel like you’re at a home away from home. Hard surface flooring throughout helps keep the space clean especially as we welcome your furry friends to come along. (Guests with pets are required to vacuum all pet hair before departure as following guests may have allergies) The Home has a kids corner of books and toys to keep your little ones entertained for hours each day! The Arctic entry closet is equipped with 2 packnplays, 2 strollers, high chair to help make your children comfortable and safe. There is also an extra folding table and chairs for extra eating/seating space (Often located on the roof next to the hot tub). Outdoor adventures are endless in this beautiful region. Countless miles of hiking, snowmobiling, and exploring is just at your fingertips. It’s a great jumping point for all of the activities the Kenai Peninsula; glacier tours, cruise ships, fishing charters (deep sea and river). Check out the Alaskan rail system for views that can’t be beat or experience the flight scene with a helicopter tour! The possibilities are endless, and I’d love to have you make my home your home base as you experience Alaska! The roof top deck (my favorite part of the house) will be a perfect setting for your quaint wedding events, celebrations or a soak in the XL Sauna (Hot Tub/Spa) while taking in the views. *Note – On rare occasion, I will be staying in the bottom floor studio/garage. This part of the house is separated from your area. The second and third floors are designated for guest use. The garage/studio will generally be vacant, but locked. The Garage area is off limits to guests. I am a helicopter pilot, so my availability is sometimes limited. I will return messages as soon as I land:) The immediate neighborhood is quiet densely forested area with family homes scattered about. Glacier Valley "Girdwood" contains the iconic Alyeska Ski Resort. Guests can ski all winter and hike all summer. Don’t miss the views from the Tram to Seven Glaciers dining. Hikers can also ride the tram down for free. Girdwood is filled with Alaska’s Top Restaurants, so take your pic each night! This is the perfect jumping point to endless adventure throughout South Central Alaska and the Kenai Peninsula!!! For skiers you can be out the door and on the lift inside of 10 minutes!! Car is an easy way to navigate around Girdwood and more distant trips to adventures in Whittier/Seward/ and the famed Kenai river. Biking is my favorite way to explore Girdwood! We have a bike path that starts just 100 feet from Alyeska Views and navigates you throughout the entirety of Girdwood and even along Turnagain Arm toward the Quaint Town of Bird. We do have Public Transit (Glacier Transit) which you can catch a ride on just 100 feet from Alyeska Views! It will take you to most Restaurants and to Alyeska Resort! Hiking/Walking: Girdwood has many trails for the casual walkabout to the extreme rugged hikes to the mountains tops. Walking through town takes but 20 minutes where you’ll find Restaurants, Gourmet Coffee, Glacier Creek Bridge (with its amazing views, “The Merc” for your essential groceries, and Girdwood Post office
