The Farm

Step away from the fast pace of daily life and enjoy family, friends and the peace of country living. Secluded modern farm house, that began as a log cabin, situated on approximately 100 acres of crop fields and includes a scenic lake. This property has been in our family for over 100 years. It has been lovingly furnished and decorated for a one of a kind stay. We want our guests to unplug, refresh, and renew. The space "The Farm" is a completely restored 2 story farm house with modern conveniences. The original part of the house is a 2 story log cabin with an exposed wall. One bedroom and two bathrooms on main level and two bedrooms, one bathroom and common area (with daybed/trundle) upstairs. A large front porch is perfect for morning coffee or late afternoon drinks. The patio area overlooking the lake is perfect for grilling a late night supper. The farm is home to various species of wildlife; ducks, geese and deer. A bald eagle has been sighted in the area. The large lake is stocked with blue gill, crappie and bass, a fishing paradise. The porch of the maintenance building with 2 swings is available for guests enjoyment. Fishing the lake is allowed. You have shared access to the lake. The maintenance building and attached shed are part of the working farm and are not accessible to guests. This is a crop farm and occasionally there could be workers in the maintenance building and fields adjacent to the house and yard. … Other things to note We are located approx 10 miles from I69 15 -20 minutes from Henderson KY There are 3 different Walmarts within a 20 mile radius Dollar General store 2 miles up the road. Farmer & The Frenchman and Hidden Hills wedding venues are approximately 15 - 20 minutes away Union County Expo Center is 27 miles away The home is compatible for someone with limited mobility. There is a ramp inside the garage for step free access. The downstairs bedroom has an attached bathroom that has a grab bar by the ADA height toilet and a grab bar in the shower. Bathroom door opens out into the bedroom. A shower seat is available upon request. House is not wheelchair accessible because the doorways are NOT 36" wide.
