Convenient and Affordable in the Heart of Astoria
Description
Hey friends! I travel some weeks/weekends and thought I'd try offering my bedroom for short stays while I'm out of town. I am located in the heart of Astoria, a very safe part of Queens, just fifteen minutes from Manhattan and close to top-notch food and drink. Also, I have no idea how to make pictures look good on this app, so just let me know if you have any questions about the space. The space ASTORIA! It really is the best of New York, and this apartment offers you a home-base for your travels at an affordable rate. My roommates are both excellent humans and out of the house a lot, both ConEd workers who also have homes upstate. They may also be using the apartment during your stay but it is most likely they you won't see them at all; they work very late and leave very early. If you do cross paths though, the place is big enough to afford privacy and harmony for everybody! The unit is one of three in the building, with a doctor's office downstairs and another apartment upstairs. The upstairs neighbors are wonderful folks and the building is owned by the family of the downstair's doctor. So yeah! This is a lot of space + privacy, but you have to live amongst some of my things. We keep the space nice, but do keep in mind that this is a bachelor pad for three 30-something dudes. If all that sounds OK, excellent! Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. Guest access Alright! So the long-short of it, we’ve got a large furnished bedroom available in a beautiful three bedroom apartment in central Astoria. Kitchen is fully stocked with hardware and functional; living room is a really chill place with a large couch, a dining table, sound-system, and a huge record collection; and there is a nice patio for with some chairs for chilling/smoking/coffee. The bedroom includes: - private half bathroom; - queen-sized bed; - 36-inch flatscreen television; - Amazon Firestick, including access to Netflix, Hulu, etc...; - WiFi; and - a dancing pole! During your stay I will likely be available to check you into the apartment and can be contacted with any issues or questions. I have lived in Astoria for over ten years and would be happy to provide any suggestions/tips/insight into the surrounding area or NYC overall. My roommates usually work long and late for ConEd and they also have homes upstate, so it is likely you won't see them at all, but it is a slim possibility that you will share kitchen-space and the full bath (you have a half bath to yourself in the bedroom though). Other things to note As I mentioned before, this listing is for a private room in an apartment that will be shared with my two roommates. This is the ideal situation for a single person traveling on a budget with ample room for a couple as well.
