The cottage peeps out from the folds of the eastern hills of Holmes County, directly in the heart of the worlds largest Amish community.It is surrounded by stunning scenery amidst every season, most stunning in fall.Grind your own coffee with our endless supply of coffee beans. Enjoy our complimentary fresh homemade cinnamon rolls and fresh baked bread! The space We’re located on a quiet township road, our 3 cottages are spread out on 11 acres with lots of mature landscaping for privacy. We have 3 mini donkeys that live in the meadows directly in front of the cottage. Guests are welcome to pet them they are very friendly! Established in 2009, the cottages were purposefully built with the guests comfort in mind. Our guests are ensured solitude and a quiet country atmosphere. While the cottages are a lovely country oasis, this property is only 10-15 minutes from shopping and dining in Walnut Creek, Winesburg, or Berlin. We are directly in the heart of Amish Country with Amish neighbors all around. Hear the sound of neighboring buggies clip clap down the road and be reminded of the simpler life where there simply is no hurry. Wrap in a blanket and cuddle with a book next to the toasty fire during gray winter months. Relax on the deck listening to crickets and watching fireflies rise during the sultry summer twilight. If you are drawn to the great outdoors, enjoy roasting sticky marshmallows over the fire pit and cook your steaks on the gas grill. Well kept landscaping sorrounds both cottages year round and each offers a private decorative concrete patio with built in firepits. Each cottage will have firewood at no cost to you. Here’s a few accommodations you will want to keep in mind. -Outside: Covered front porch with rocking chairs and a porch swing, back deck with hot tub, side concrete patio with built in firepit(wood provided) -Gas grill -Inside: Hardwood floors and tile mainly which get washed up after each and every stay(we promise!), carpeted stairs and loft. Kitchen: -Refrigerator/freezer (stocked with coffee creamer both flavored and regular, butter and jelly packets for your fresh homemade bread a fresh pitcher of water and of course homemade cinnamon rolls! -Electric oven -Microwave -Dishwasher (we provide dishwasher tabs) -Drip coffee maker ( endless supply of coffee beans provided, so so good!) -Kitchen cabinets are stopped with hot tea, hot chocolate, popcorn, and a few spices, including salt and pepper -Coffee mugs -Wine glasses -Toaster -Drinking glasses/plates -Paper towels -Silverware/knives -Cooking utensils -Pots and pans -Cutting board Bedroom: -King size bed -Closet with extra pillows, and blanket Living Room: -Beautiful gas fireplace -Large leather reclining sofa -Lounge chair -2 end tables with lamps Dining area: -Table with two chairs Bathroom: -Shower (size of a standard bathtub) -Plenty of towels and washcloths -Hand towels -Hand soap -Plenty of toilet paper Loft: -Queen size bed -Table with checkers board -Half bath (toilet and pedestal sink) -Hand towel I Guest access Our check-in is anytime after 4 PM and is super simple and hassle free… you will drive straight to the cottage along with the check-in instructions, you’ve accessed through this app. On the day of your check-in you will receive a code for the keypad. There will be detailed instructions on how to unlock the door We give our guests total privacy and you are able to completely check in on your own at your convenience. Other things to note -No pets allowed -No smoking allowed -We allow children 12 and over but they must be added as an additional guest. -There are so many things to do in Amish Country! We are nature lovers and tell all of our guests about a place called Dundee Falls, about 15 minutes from here, a must see that most visitors to the area never find out about.
