Deer View Cottage is a peaceful countryside retreat near Augusta, Georgia. Walk out of the cottage and enjoy the 16 acres of land. The kitchen is stocked with all the cooking ware, coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer. You'll feel as though you're in the countryside, yet it's situated in the well-developed area of the town, close to shopping and city amenities. 1 King-size bed in the bedroom 1 Queen-size pull-out sofa bed in the living room This cottage is one of three on our 16-acre property. Step out of the cottage and enjoy the expansive 16-acre property, including a stocked fishing pond ready for fishing or simply enjoying the view. Additionally, disc golf enthusiasts among our guests can practice with our disc golf basket in the large field. Bring your drivers, mid-range, and putter discs for skill practice at any time. Our spacious pasture is ideal for flying kites or drones. We're just minutes away from a Super Kroger, Walmart, LongHorn Steakhouse, Panera Bread, Applebee's, Diablo, Aldi's, Five Guys, and many other restaurants. The kitchen is stocked with all cooking ware, plus complimentary coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer. There are two Smart TVs (one in the living room and one in the bedroom). Samsung TV+ channels stream on the TVs, and Amazon Prime is included. Guests use their own accounts to watch Netflix, Hulu, and other apps. We have a private fishing pond (approximately 1/4 of an acre) on the property exclusively for our guests. The pond is stocked with bass and bream. Feel free to bring your fishing poles and bait to enjoy fishing. Although many guests catch fish, success is not guaranteed, especially during the colder seasons. Wild deer often visit our 16-acre property in the evenings and early mornings, grazing around the pastures. A variety of birds, including Blue Jays, Cardinals, owls, hawks, hummingbirds, and woodpeckers, nest in our wooded areas, providing an enjoyable sight and sound. This cottage is perfect for a getaway and retreat, and pet owners love it. The 16-acre property offers plenty of open spaces to roam around. The owners live in the main house, a few hundred yards away, surrounded by a fence. There are also two other cottages on this property (Please refer to the AERIAL VIEW picture to locate Deer View Cottage). Due to liabilities, the pool is unavailable to guests staying in this vacation short-term rental. The owners' fenced pool is away from the cottage, locked, and surrounded by a 7-foot-tall fence. Access is only possible via the owners' fenced yard. The pool is exclusively for owners' use. Wildlife is present on this property (no hunting is allowed). Our private fishing pond is located on the southwest corner of the property. Recently, the water has turned muddy due to rain and construction on the neighboring property. We're waiting for the water to settle and clear again. Please refer to the aerial view picture to locate the fishing pond. Feel free to fish in the pond; just bring your fishing equipment. Keep an eye out for wildlife around the pond, and note that swimming is not permitted. Pets are not allowed to drink/swim in the pond. All cottages on this property are managed and operated by the owners, who are present on this large property. Guest access Guests have access to the entire Deer View Cottage. Deer View Cottage is one of three cottages within the Jasmine Augusta Manor's 16-acre property. Hosts also reside in the main large manor house on the property. The 16-acre private property and the private fishing pond are shared grounds among guests staying in the other two cottages, and the host stays in the main house. The 16-acre property is partially fenced. Other things to note Guests have full control of the thermostat. Self check-in: We will message you the entrance code for the cottage on the morning of your arrival. Parking: There is a concrete parking pad in front of the cottage that can accommodate one car. Ample parking is available for additional cars, trailers, and boats on the grass area near the cottage. Please inform us, and we can guide you on where to park the extra vehicles near the cottage while avoiding the underground plumbing infrastructure. Smoking is permitted outdoors. You may smoke outside and please use the provided planter pot by the porch as an ashtray for cigarette butts. Refer to our house rules for additional specific information. We are dog/pet lovers. You may bring a maximum of three pets with you to the cottage during your stay. (The property is not fully fenced; therefore, we recommend leash walking.) Your dog/pet may play unleashed in the field and outside under your close supervision, as long as other guests or their pets are not in close proximity. For health and safety reasons, dogs are not allowed to swim in the fishing pond or drink from it (please see the aerial picture of the property for the fishing pond location). The pool on the property is only for owner use and is not available to Airbnb guests. This property/estate is one of the few large estates left on William Few PKW, as most other properties are developed into subdivisions, townhouses, and business shopping centers. Although you feel like you are in the countryside with rolling pastures, you are in the middle of the developed area with all the amenities nearby.
