Mountain House Cabin

Big trees surround our rustic family cabin. High wood ceilings and large windows face our deck giving you a great view of the woods. It's a quiet place to relax summer or winter. With both central heat and wood burning stove it's a cozy winter hideaway or perfect summer retreat on the warm afternoons. Only minutes from the Stanislaus River at Boards Crossing and White Pines Lake or short drive to Lake Alpine and Bear Valley Ski Area, Mountain House is the perfect year round getaway. The space Our cabin is a classic chalet with a high vaulted all-wood ceiling. large great room and kitchen that faces the great room. Built in 1972 Mountain House is one of the first cabins in this area. It's all wood with a wood interior with new laminate floors. With both central heat and a wood-burning stove our place can be very cozy in the winter as you view the snow falling outside. The kitchen has just about everything you need, an electric range, a new dishwasher, and side by side fridge. And of course, we have a coffee maker. You will view the deck from the great room and kitchen and see huge pines and firs which remind you you're up in the beautiful Sierras. We have two bedrooms downstairs with queen-sized beds, a bathroom with shower and bathtub as well as a washer and dryer. Upstairs we have a huge loft with a full bathroom. The front area of has two couches and a play area for kids. We have three queen-sized beds and a twin bed in the loft. Guest access You will park on the driveway above and then walk down three sets of stairs through the trees to the cabin deck. There are roughly 25 steps. When is snows we have two snow shovels one at the top next to the stairs and one at the bottom next to the front door under the small porch. The driveway is plowed during the snow season. The cabin is the main building you enter with the loft. There are no separate areas for you to access. There is an access code for the key at the front door which will be provided to you when you paid your full payment. Other things to note The driveway can accommodate up to three cars. When it's snowing we advise 4-wheel drive vehicles to park on the lower part only otherwise you park at the top off the main road. Our cleaning person will come following your stay so please put things back in place to make her job a bit easier.
