Adorable cozy 1940's cottage! Located in the historic Chicopee Dudley neighborhood - less than a mile from downtown, UGA, Classic Center and all that downtown has to offer. Backs up to the 113 acre Walker Park with 5 miles of biking & walking trails, playground, public splash pad, and easy walk to the North Oconee River Greenway and Dudley Park! Enjoy shopping, dining, live music, festivals, art galleries. Nice private porch, deck & fenced yard. $7 Lyft /Uber ride downtown. No Parties allowed. The space Our cottage is located in close proximity to downtown Athens for visitors wanting to enjoy Athens for what it is best known for.... Some would say Bulldawg Football and all sports, some would say its the amazing local music scene, or any of the many cultural events going on or just visiting students, professors or friends. The kitchen has everything you need for meal preparation and an enjoyable dining experience including oven with stove top, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender, refrigerator, freezer, ice machine, cutlery, plates, napkins, etc. We also provide fresh coffee grounds, an assortment of teas, plus basics for cooking and baking (oils, spices, sweeteners, condiments, etc.). Lounge on the screened in front porch with comfortable rocking chair and view of front yard with award winning native plant rain garden. Enjoy the outside shower on our back deck as well as outside table, chairs and glider for those wanting to dine outside. And for cooler evenings enjoy the chiminea. We can accommodate families with small children and small dogs. Amenities such as Pack N Play, high chair, books, toys, etc. must be requested in advance as they are not kept in the house at all times. There will be a pet fee for all pets. The living room is adorned with our collection of folk art, glass art, and wood pieces, and is the perfect lounge area for relaxing and socializing. We also have a television with Roku. Regular cable/TV service is NOT provided. We have a very cute bathroom in the house plus during the spring, summer, and fall we have an outside shower. Guest access Guests can access the house from the front door via keyless entry and back door with door knob lock. The entire house, front porch, outside patio, front yard, and fenced in back yard are available to guests. Other things to note This is a 1940 historic Chicopee Mill cottage nestled up to 113 acres of public forest park and the North Oconee River Greenway Trail. Given our proximity to nature and that we are located in the subtropics, we occasionally have a bug or mouse that enters the house, but we have pest control so any intruders won’t be around for long.
