We are experienced hosts, but this is our just our second summer renting out our little slice of North Haven Heaven. Come enjoy the simplicity of island living! Located a short walk from the North Haven Island Ferry and waterfront, our lovingly restored 4 bedroom cottage is the perfect spot for your next getaway to Maine! We are within walking distance to a coffee shop, restaurants, and a beautiful park. This charming home is perfect for a family vacation and small or large group getaways. Our 4 bedroom, 1 bathroom home has a great family friendly layout and is perfect for up to 8 guests. Whether you are looking for a new adventure, a relaxing getaway, or a unique spot to work from home -- we would love to be your hosts! Downstairs: Living room - spacious living room that includes a 55 inch smart TV (Netflix & Hulu and other streaming apps), board games, and puzzles, a comfy couch as well as a seating area. This attaches to a seating room with a charming old piano. Dining room - historic handmade dining table with seats for 8 Kitchen - fully equipped with pots, pans, dinnerware, serveware, and a regular drip coffee pot (we provide start up coffee supplies including coffee filters and ground coffee) Laundry Room - full size washer and dryer available to use free of charge Backyard - a spacious grassy backyard with an outdoor shower, gas grill as well as a custom made live edge wooden table and chairs perfect for dining under the stars! Upstairs: Guest room 1 - King size bed Guest room 2 - 2 twin size beds Guest room 3 - Queen size bed Guest room 4 - Queen size bed 1 Full Bathroom - stand up shower. Note for all guests, this is the only full bathroom in the home and is located on the second floor. For larger groups, we highly recommend the outdoor shower as well as the vanity room across the hall for some extra space! **Cell phone service can be limited on the island, the perfect place to connect with family and nature, but we do offer complimentary high speed Wifi available **Parking available out front of the house for 1-2 cars **We do not have air conditioning, but we do have fans in each bedroom for guest use! The whole house is available to guests, with the exception of a storage closet, the basement and attic. There is also an attached owners unit at the rear of the property, which I use from time to time with my son. This area is not available to guests, but if you ever need anything while I am on island, I am more than happy to help. We're happy to help with suggestions for places to go, but we will never be overbearing. Our level of interaction is up to you. We are only a phone call or message away. We have a contactless self check-in and check-out process. We will provide a full list of all of our favorite local recommendations to help make your trip perfect! It is hard to find a place in today’s world that has not evolved into a fast-paced, high tech society. Our little slice of North Haven heaven is the perfect destination for simplicity, natural beauty, locally sourced food, and human connection We are conveniently located about a 5 minute walk from the ferry, so a car is not required in order to enjoy your stay! We are about 1.5 miles from the local market, so if you do not plan to bring a car, ask us about grocery delivery options. The ferry leaves Rockland for North Haven at 9:30 am, 2:20 pm, or 5:15 pm daily; it returns to Rockland from the island at 7:30 am, 12:30 pm, and 3:45 pm. The ferry is the main mode of transportation on and off of the island. Given that there are limited other lodging options on the island (and finding a last-minute place to stay is unlikely!), be sure to plan your trip well, and keep an eye on the ferry schedule. Things to keep in mind about the North Haven Island Ferry: Although based on our location, guests don't need a car to get to and from the house, car spots are extremely limited on the ferry. Travelers must call exactly 1 month prior to initial departure dates in order to guarantee a confirmed reservation to bring your vehicle onto the island. We recommend arriving to the ferry terminal about 30 minutes before scheduled departure. For information on ferry tickets and rates, car reservations, bringing a bike, and more, please call the North Haven Ferry Office. There is also an option to charter or bring your own boat over, just ask us for more info on moorings! We have installed exterior only security cameras for the safety of both guest and property. These cameras are actively recording both audio and video outside all entrances and side doors. Any tampering with cameras, including, but not limited to covering and otherwise disabling of these cameras are grounds for early termination of reservation with no refunds whatsoever.
