It is located in the heart of historic Debary, in a quiet neighborhood but a short drive to trails, restaurants, shopping, theme parks, beaches, and adventure. There is plenty of room for conversation, game night, or poolside fun. We are a destination for springs, hiking, biking, and water activities. End your day in your private pool (not heated)—forty-five minutes to attractions north and south. The space Highlights of renting this home: - We require a guest agreement form. - Sleeps a MAXIMUM of 6, including children. - private screened pool -NOT heated -with plenty of seating and gas grill - King, Queen, and two twins, and plenty of bedding and towels -kitchen is stocked as if you're right at home -pool towels, beach chairs, and beach towels -large end-of-street lot and privacy fenced home provide a retreat feel -can accommodate day gatherings of up to 10 people with prior approval. -NO PETS or animals of any kind. Family health conditions and allergies. -NO smoking inside this home. -Guests MUST sign our guest agreement after booking to secure their dates. If you have zero reviews or less than 5 -5-star reviews, we require a security deposit of $350(100% refund rate) Primary Bedroom -king-sized bed, cedar closet, dresser, TV, lamps - NO ensuite bath -ironing board and essentials, ceiling fan, Bahama-style slat door. Second Bedroom -Queen bed, side tables, lamps, closet, ceiling fan, Bahama-style slat door. Third Bedroom - Two twin beds, lamp, nightstand, ceiling fan, closet, Bahama-style slat door. Kitchen/dining room -seating for six at the dining table -kitchen fully equipped for cooking meals Two separate living rooms, each with seating for 6 We take great care to provide you with a clean and comfortable home. We ask you to take care of the home during your stay, respect that this is a home, not a hotel, and leave it as you found it. -January and February are 28-day minimum stays with a 60-day cancellation policy. River City's Retreat is the essence of historic tropical 1950's charm with original hardwood floors and detail in the decor: remodeled bathrooms, ceiling fans, and two separate living areas with plenty of seating. Your days can be filled with swimming in your private pool (not heated), playing games in the Florida room, reading books from our library shelves, or cooking family meals in the farmhouse-style kitchen with everything you need. Arrive at your home away from home. Your basic necessities are provided, so you don't have to pack them. From area recommendations to a packed picnic basket, River City's Retreat is filled with thoughtful touches for an effortless stay. Each bedroom is decorated in a simple Florida style featuring our original hardwood floors. The large renovated contemporary hall bathroom SERVES ALL 3 bedrooms with a walk-in shower and tall sink. Stool provided for children. The bedrooms are located on one end of the home and can be closed off with a door in the hall for early bedtimes or early risers. Historic memorabilia carries throughout the home—spacious living room with easy-care furniture. Florida room is on the other side of the bedroom wing to separate activities if needed. Hang out after a swim, watch a movie or play board games. Day visitors are welcome to enjoy the home with you. However, we can only accommodate 6 overnight guests, excluding those under 2, and ALL must be listed on the rental agreement. Pack-and-play, a high chair, two beach chairs, and a beach umbrella are available. Large soft coolers are ready for your day at the springs or the beach. Guest access The driveway can accommodate up to 3 cars. NO PARKING ON LAWN due to septic. Close to major highways and the road has easy access to area shopping. Other things to note Bring your boat! Do you have a boat or watercraft? We have parking behind the privacy gate for trailered craft. Ask in advance if you need height and width dimensions. Please communicate for prior approval. PLEASE NOTE: The neighborhood is 70 years old and occupied by primarily working families. Many homes have been restored and updated; some are not. We are not under an HOA and do not have any control over the presentation of area homes. Volusia County is home to unique natural wonders from wildlife, springs, flora and fauna, and historical sites, and all are within a short drive from River City's Retreat. Leave the home on foot or bicycle to pick up one of the Florida rail/trail systems and see the sunset by the St. Johns River or historic Lake Monroe.
