The Carriage House is a private, stand-alone efficiency apartment in the 1500 block of Virginia St. in Charleston, WV. This two-story guest house sleeps 2, offers one King-sized bed and 1 bathroom (shower), two blocks from the state capitol. Kitchen: stove/oven, fridge, coffee maker, sink, central AC/Heat w NEST thermostat, high speed wifi, 50 inch smart TV w/ Roku streaming. Eff. washer/dryer in unit. Valid photo ID required prior to bookings The space This space is secluded and is located in the backyard of our property on the historic East End of Charleston, one block from the river-front. There is a privacy fence around the backyard with gate access. *The backyard is a shared space that our children enjoy, so you will see them from time to time. Inside, the carriage house has everything one would need to be self-sufficient from a full apartment kitchen, a totally renovated bathroom and a good size bedroom with King bed. Linens, towels/washcloths, and all the amenities of a kitchen are provided for cooking. The space is pet friendly, just add a guest for each dog starting with the 3rd guest. There is a $10 per-night fee for each animal due to additional cleaning. Relax in the Carriage House for your visit to Charleston, WV! Guest access You will enter the Carriage House via a keypad lock. The gate to get to the backyard is not locked; enter by pushing in on the gate lock and the gate will pop open. Once through the gate, you’ll walk straight down the concrete walkway to the front door. Key code provided in AirBNB app once booked. Other things to note Booking & Guest Rules • The person booking must be staying in the home. No third-party bookings. • Only guests listed on the reservation are allowed. Any additional visitors must be pre-approved in writing through Airbnb. • A government ID matching the Airbnb profile may be requested. Check-In & Security • Check-in details are shared only through Airbnb’s secure messaging system. Payments & Communication • All payments must stay on Airbnb. We never request cash, wire transfers, or off-platform payments. • Attempts to move communication or payment outside Airbnb will result in cancellation. Respect for Home & Neighborhood • No parties, events, or large gatherings. • Please leave the property as you found it. Any damage, missing items, or smoking indoors may result in additional charges. Fraud & Scam Prevention • Reservations with suspicious activity, mismatched information, or attempts to bypass Airbnb policies will be canceled. • Our goal is a safe, enjoyable experience for both our guests and our community.
