☀Fun Flamingo: Beachfront/Quiet Retreat/Best Views

The Fun Flamingo is a charming 1950’s ranch bungalow directly on the beach of Alligator Point; part of Old Florida's Forgotten Coast. A great getaway for enjoying the ocean and its habitat. The 11-window ocean-facing sunroom has amazing views and is a great place to watch dolphins play just off-shore. Or just a few steps outside the back and you're enjoying the endless beaches of Alligator Point. 2 bedrooms, a bunkroom & 2 baths. 8 guests limit. And while a pet is allowed, there is $120 fee. The space The Fun Flamingo was built in 1952 and is a ranch-style bungalow (no stairs except 6 outside to the front door.) There is an 11-window ocean-facing sunroom with amazing views. Just a few steps outside the back door and you are on our quiet beach. Or head to our grassy front yard (with a fence for some privacy) where a corn-hole competition or other lawn games beckon you if you tire of the beach. If it happens to rain, we have a variety of games and puzzles to play indoors or grab a book from The Fun Flamingo's take-one-leave-one library. Lastly, the bedrooms and the living room all have flat screen TVs with the living room also having an Xbox Kinect and a DVD player + over 75 DVD movies. Our WiFi is usually around 400Mbps fast. Our kitchen, while a typical small 1950's galley kitchen should have plenty of cabinet space to store the food you bring. And in addition to the standard appliances (refrigerator, cooking range, and dishwasher) we also have several small appliances including a microwave with convection oven & air fryer functionality, Instant Pot, blender, mixer, waffle maker, crock pot, electric can opener, sous vide immersion circulator, and coffee makers for making single servings, a pot of coffee, or an espresso/cappuccino. Because of its size, our house is best suited for 4 to 6 adults (which would include teenagers.) If you have more than 4 adults, please study the layout image in the photos and/or reach out to us to verify our place will suit your needs. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house. Other things to note Any cleaning issues must be brought to our attention within 4 hours of your arrival. Bringing a pet will incur an additional $120 pet fee. Only 1 pet allowed. Also note: during turtle season (May through September) leash laws are strictly enforced and your pet may not be allowed on certain areas of the beach if there are any turtle nests nearby. Pets are always allowed in our front yard under owner control, but you will need to clean up after them or risk losing some of your deposit as children often play in the front yard.
