Cozy home near the heart of downtown Ottawa. Relax with some Netflix in the sunroom or whip up a nice dinner with the fully equipped kitchen. Don't forget to check the backyard chicken coop for some fresh chicken eggs! We're just 15 minutes from Starved Rock, closer to the other state parks! Shops and restaurants in downtown Ottawa are a close walk or drive and there are many playgrounds close by for kids! Be sure to read our tips and recommendations to make the most of your stay The whole house was remodeled in the last couple years so everything is fresh and new. There are 3 bedrooms - 2 with queen beds, and one with 3 twin beds. Crib mattress, pack and play, or air mattress are also available if needed. There are extra linens in the closets was well. There's also a highchair in the dining room. There are two full bathrooms stocked with bath linens and basic first aid necesities. The pantry has cooking tools and a washer and dryer. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, utensils, and some of the basic cooking essentials as well as a dishwasher. Our favorite space is the sunroom/family room. With recliners, a couch, a glider and plenty of cozy blankets, it's the perfect spot to relax and watch tv or watch the chickens though the windows. You have access to the entire house except the basement, garage, and shed. As stated, my family may be in the backyard occasionally to care for the chickens during your stay. We love the friendly atmosphere, the walkability, and the nearby sites. Families will love the playground nearby and ice cream just down the road. We love to walk through the neighborhood and downtown with ease. If you're interested in heading downtown, it is about a 15 minute walk. Any further and we'd recommend a car. Uber and lyft are occasionally available. The chickens in the backyard are in their coop with autofeeders for food and water. You are welcome to collect eggs and feed them through the chicken wire.
