A RECENT REVIEW: This host's entire multi-unit property, and the "The Place" unit we booked, are more than a cut above all the rest! If you like staying at a modern, clean, well equipped and maintained, and a bit eclectic, "apartment" then the this place is for you! The location is great if your looking to be near Arcadia-Sleeping Bear Dunes ( 25 mi) and Traverse City (14 mi)..but not smack in the middle of those tourist areas at night. We're avid cyclists, and spent most of our time biking along the Sleeping Bear Dunes Heritage Trail, and also all around the Leelanau Peninsula on the extension of the TART trail! There's Tom's Food Market down the street, and the Interlochen Center for the Arts...also plenty of nearby lakes! Jeff is a super host who has put lots of thought and care into his newer B&B. The Place is a ground floor unit, but was quiet. The fully equipped kitchen off the living room was where we spent most of our evenings preparing our own meals and enjoying them in the dining room that overlooked a freshwater pond out back. But the 55" TV and ultra-high speed Wi-Fi are a nice touch as well! Also there's a great patio with table/chairs right out the front door! Important, arrival/departure is all "contact less", as the host uses key less entry/exit! We hope you enjoy your stay at this wonderful Air B&B as much as we did in mid-July 2021! Bill In our current times you will find reassuring we go to great lengths to make sure the place is cleaned properly and that on very frequent occasions between guests we perform a Ozone treatment on the place for that extra step to be safe and clean. Ozone is amazing, with the SARS virus scientist discovered that Ozone treatments kill 99.8% of Virus's. Also the entrance to the place is from outside NO inside hallways to walk down. The things you will LOVE about The Place #1 Location, located RIGHT OFF of US 31 easy on and off highway 5 minutes to the World renowned Interlochen Arts Academy 3 miles to the Blue Bridge Events Center 1/2 mile to Interlochen Golf course 30 miles to The Homestead Is located RIGHT OFF of US 31, just 1/2 mile from the traffic light in Interlochen. #2 Self check in we have a keypad lock no keys required for entry. #3 Newly remodeled, modern design #4 The unit is AIR CONDITIONED for those warm summer days. #5 Nice outside deck area with table and chairs overlooking our Private Lake Here are some THINGS TO CONSIDER before renting. #1 NO PARTIES are permitted in our apartment or on our property at any time during your stay. #2 Our Condo is nice but its not perfect for all people, even though we have put lots of effort into this place there are always small what seem like trivial issues to most that really upset others such as, there is no dishwasher, This is a Condo so there will be neighbor noise at times. #3 We ask all our guests to respect the neighbors and to not be loud or yell or play loud music inside and outside the building at all times during their stay. We expect our Guests to be quiet after 11:00 PM. So if you intend to behave like a party animal, our place is not for you but if you intend to behave like a resident, you should love your stay. #4 We have a Smart TV with NO cable, we have a Antenna which provides 18 channels like ABC NBC CBS etc all in 4K, we also provide a Netflix subscription with endless viewing options. Now that this is clear, let's get to the description of the place! The Place is located in Interlochen right off US 31, the center point of activities in the Grand Traverse region. The Place features a kitchen that is fully equipped with all the essentials such as MICROWAVE, POTS & PANS, COFFEE MAKER, TOASTER, BLENDER, SLOW COOKER and your basic kitchen items to cook a nice meal and Coffee, Creamer & Sugar. This is a 1 BEDROOM unit with a queen size bed the living room has a queen size sleeper sofa & all the linens you will need. 55” SMART TV, 100+ Mbps WIFI . The bathroom has a FULL SIZE TUB/shower, HAIR DRYER, IRON & BOARD and we also have a WASHER & DRYER to take care of your laundry needs. Because of the close proximity to The Interlochen Center for the Arts, we highly recommend you do a search, just maybe you could catch a amazing concert while in our area. ***Attending a special event and you know others in need of lodging, we have several other places, inquire for the other listings and availability. Guest access Everything in the Condo, outside private patio area with table and chairs and a place to walk down to the lake and watch the numerous birds fly in. Plus private laundry! Other things to note No keys required for entry into our place, with have a key pad with a security code. Which equals no hassles with trying to track down keys.
