Lake Escape - Tygart Lake, Grafton, WV

The Lake Escape is a charming getaway nestled by Tygart Lake State Park: a retreat that offers year 'round opportunities. This cottage is private yet steps away from the features of the park. Our property is situated just 0.8 mi from the Lake Marina, 0.4 mi from the swimming area, 2 mi from the Lodge Restaurant, and adjacent to hiking, biking, picnic areas and playground. Whether you are looking for peace and relaxation or prefer outdoor adventure the Lake Escape welcomes you. The space Lake Escape offers a large, wrap around deck with wooded views, a large outdoor firepit, and plenty of parking. Inside you will find a newly remodeled interior featuring a beautiful great room with breakfast nooks, three bedrooms and a queen sleeper sofa, and a fully appointed kitchen. Guest access The entire living space is available to our guests with the exception of a locked storage closet off of the bathroom. Other things to note There is decent cell service with most providers Lake Escape has WiFi and Tygart Lake has open Wifi about 100 yards down the road at the Nature Center/Play ground There is no cleaning service during stays of one week or less. The house is remote and utilizes a well versus public water service. If you're not used to that you may notice a slight sulfur smell at times when running water. Drinking water is provided via a large bottled water dispenser. Please use caution on deck and patio when wet. it can be slippery! A visit to the new Ace Adventure Swim Park is a must. book your reservations in advance. It's a 8 min walk from the house, or a super short drive.
