Description

***Looking for a pool, check out La Maison Musique, **** https://www.airbnb.com/h/lamaisonmusique Travel back into the 40’s with a combination of vintage and new decor. This Vintage Schoolhouse was once an elementary school and the grounds were covered in orange groves. Today I’ve converted her into a home for your getaway. Located in downtown Mount Dora you’ll have plenty of 5 star restaurants to choose from, shopping along the way, city events or enjoy the fun lake pontoon tours The space Take a trip down memory lane as you look around the house and see a mix of antique items I've hand picked directly from “Renningers Antique Flea Market” combined with new age decor and furniture. Every room in this vintage home has a Brand New mattress, towel sets, new pillows and new sheets. FUN FACT- Neighbors tell me I purchased one of the first elementary schools of Mount Dora which was placed here in the 40's by a sweet woman named Mrs. Race. Inside the bamboo surrounded Bungalow you’ll find an open kitchen with all your basic kitchen essential. Open up the first set of French doors which lead to a separate living room or a possible 4th bedroom with a pull out queen-sized sofa bed and a Smart TV. The next set of French doors lead to the back porch equipped with a BBQ grill, lots of greenery and is fenced in. Another set of doors leads to a mud room with a washer and dryer for your convenience, and a large second bathroom with a walk in shower. In the morning enjoy breakfast at my favorite spot "The highland Street Cafe". Head over to Renningers for some antique shopping. Visit Gilbert Park with the kiddos or take a pontoon boat tour and learn about the history of Mount Dora as it flows down the Dora Canal. Shopping downtown is always fun with so many little shops and coffee spots. PizzAmore, Jeremiah’s and Fifth Street eatery are within walking distance as well as few local breweries and more antique shopping plazas. There are many restaurants to choose from to include Cuban, Italian, British, American, Thai, Mexican…the list goes on oh and a few sweet shops as well. 12 miles away in Apopka, Florida visit one of my favorite places around, Kelly Park Rock Springs. Here you can cruise down an all-natural lazy river with crystal blue waters and some of Florida's natural landscape for a relaxing day out. If you’re in town during the holidays, take a walk downtown and see the many many lights and Christmas décor Mount Dora is also known for. Feel free to inquire about experiencing your very own British Style Tea Party right here at the Bungalow during your stay. https://www.airbnb.com/experiences/844591 Guest access Access to the entire house, and back yard. Other things to note We are a pet-friendly home with a large and completely fenced in backyard.
